Kobe Picked Iggy Over Teammate Swaggy P

Kobe Bryant was asked who he preferred- Iggy or Swaggy P?  The Lakers' superstar picked Iggy saying she's had a more successful career than his teammate Nick "Swaggy P" Young.

While that is true I think Kobe was intentionally taking a shot at the rising star like aging veterans tend to do.

Brett Favre Did a Micro Touch Grooming Commercial

Brett Favre wants to help you groom your hair, or something like that.  Favre did a Micro Touch Grooming commercial because he doesn't have an NFL paycheck anymore.

Enjoy watching Favre trim his hair, shave his face, trim his ears and eyebrows.

Scottish Model Got Completely Nude at Australian Football League Grand Final

Heather McCartney, apparently lost a bet and we're all winners now!

The Scottish model stripped nude at the Australian Football League Grand Final after she lost.  We need to get these types of bets at NFL games!

Michael Phelps Arrested for DUI

Michael Phelps was pulled over early this morning and arrested for DUI after failing field sobriety tests.  This is the second time the Olympic swimmer has been popped for a DUI, via TMZ:
The USA Olympic legend was pulled over around 1:40 AM in his white Land Rover. We're told he bombed his field sobriety test ... and his B.A.C. was almost twice the legal limit.

Bill Belichick Laughs Off QB Controversy

There were certainly no reason for Bill Belichick to smile following a 41-14 loss to the Chiefs.  Except when a reporter asked Belichick whether or not the quarterback position was going to be reevaluated.

Sure Tom Brady wad benched at the end of the Monday night game, but Brady's job is secure.  The 37 year old is struggling this year, in large part, because of a very weak offensive line.

Belichick and the Patriots certainly have some issues but QB isn't one of them.  I wouldn't make the mistake of counting them out.  Afterall they finished 2013 with a 12-4 record and a very weak receiving corps.

J.J. Watt Explaining His Pick 6 Is Hilarious

J.J. Watt went into some sort of celebration as he approached the end zone during his pick 6 this weekend.  His post game explanation of either a Deion high step or a Nae Nae is funny as hell.

Colts Release Receiver After DUI Arrest

The Colts released Da'Rick Rogers hours after a DUI arrest on Monday. Yes this is the same Colts team whose owner, Jim Irsay, is currently suspended because of a guilty plea for DWI.

Rogers has been inactive for the Colts first four games and something tells me if this was Reggie Wayne he wouldn't be getting cut.

Husain Abdullah Was Penalized For Prayer

Husain Abdullah was penalized after scoring a touchdown for going to the ground. Because the No Fun League says you can't go to the ground as a form of celebration.

Well you can go to the ground, as long as you're praying.  Abdullah, who is Muslim, was praying so there should have been no unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I guess the only form of prayer that is acceptable in the NFL is Tebowing.

This Video Pretty Much Sums Up The Monday Night Game

This Chiefs fan finding what looks to be the only Patriots fan and simulating a sexual act sums up what happened on the field.

The Patriots got blown out in Kansas City 41-14.  Their defense forgot to show up and they offense was too inconsistent to put together any kind of offense.

Joe Girardi Expects A Rod to Play Third Base Next Year

Yankees manager Joe Girardi talked about suspended star Alex Rodriguez, who is expected to return next season.  Girardi says they'll have to look at where he is physically but he expects A Rod to play third base and be a part of the Yankees for 2015.

The New York media is clearly ready for the return of A Rod as well, already asking a question about his return.  With the Jeter farewell tour complete, attention has turned to a soon to be 40 year old third baseman who missed the entire 2014 season.

Doesn't sound like a promising 2015 season in the Bronx.

Check Out LeBron's Hairline

LeBron James' hairline has been all over the place lately.  Last week he came out for his shoe release with a brand new hairline.

Today pics were released showing LeBron at practice with his hairline back in full retreat mode.  So whatever was on his head to create his hairline must have been washable.

Reporter Calls Tony Romo "Tony Homo" On Live TV

While the reporter was breaking down the Saints-Cowboys game he said "This is what you like to see Tony Homo."

He quickly realized his mistake and said Tony Romo, but the damage had already been done.  He let the viewers know what he calls Romo when he's talking to his friends.

Did You See That Amazing Touchdown Pass that Aaron Rodgers Threw That Didn't Count

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were back to playing offense for the first time this season.  The best play of the entire game didn't count.

Rodgers eluded a sack multiple times then threw a pass right on the money as he was being hit.  The touchdown was called back because of a hold on the offensive line.

But you still need to take a look at the play for what Rodgers was able to do.

One Mariner is Glad the Mariners Aren't Playing in the Postseason

Tom Wilhelmsen of the Mariners danced his white ass off to "Turn Down for What" like the Mariners made the postseason or something. I guess he was just happy to be on a major league roster for game 162.

Here is the whitest thing you'll see all day.  "Postseason for What"

Geno Smith Cursed at Fans Following Jets Loss to the Lions

Geno Smith is feeling the heat of New York as fans gave him hell following the loss to the Lions. The second year quarterback isn't fairing much better than Mark Sanchez and at 1-3 the fans are letting him know that they're disappointed.

Smith had some choice words for the fans as he left the field, but immediately apologized during his post game interview because THE KIDS!

Is it Mike Vick time in NY?

The Cowboys Destroyed the Saints Last Night

The Cowboys destroyed the Saints 38-17 on Sunday Night Football, in a game that really wasn't that close.  It was payback for a game last year in New Orleans where the Saints destroyed Dallas.

They were all smiles in Dallas as the Cowboys jumped out to a 24-0 lead.  But I'm not going to get into all of the stats, I'm just going to let the picture above of the Cowboys cheerleader do the explaining.

Phillies Fans Mock Braves Closer Craig Kimbrel

It's been a long season if you're a Phillies fan and game 162 had the fans relieve a little stress.  The fans behind home started mocking Braves closer Craig Kimbrel.

It makes for a nice viral video and helps Phillies fans cope with losing yet another game in what has been a terrible season.

Jeremy Maclin Made The Best Catch This Weekend

Jeremy Maclin made an incredible one handed catch along the sideline. As good as the catch was it wasn't enough to help the Eagles beat the 49ers.

It was however good enough to be the best catch of the weekend.

Darren Sproles Shook Off a Facemask and Returned a Punt

Darren Sproles has been a huge addition to the Eagles.  Sproles has run the ball, caught the ball and been huge in the return game.

He's racked up a ton of yards.  There isn't much he can't do, even return a punt after having his facemask grabbed.

Jordan Zimmerman Throws a No Hitter in Game 162

Jordan Zimmerman waited until the last game of the regular season to toss his first career no hitter.  The Nationals, who are playoff bound, hope Zimmerman carries this gem into the post season.

The no hitter was almost broken up in the 9th inning with two outs.  Defensive replacement Steven Stouza Jr. made a great diving catch in the gap to save the no hitter.

J.J. Watt With an Incedible Pick 6

J.J. Watt picked off EJ Manuel's screen attempt and took it 79 yards to the house. Watt showed off his athletic ability with the catch and his speed with the touchdown run.

Watch Derek Jeter's Final At Bat

It's official Derek Jeter is now retired! The Yankees captain finished his career with an infield hit.

Derek Jeter was lifted for a pinch runner following what is his last at bat.  See Jeter's entire last at bat plus the Fenway fans sending him off with a standing ovation.

Steve Smith Sr. Drinking From The Football After Torching His Former Team

Steve Smith Sr. is proving to his former team he can still play. With two touchdown catches and over 100 hundred yards in just the first half.

Why not crack the ball open and have a drink?

Missouri Quarterback Maty Mauk Ran Over Steve Spurrier

South Carolina took a 13-7 lead into the 4th quarter against Missouri only to end up losing 21-20.  During that 4th quarter collapse Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk appeared to go out of his way to run over Steve Spurrier.

Spurrier didn't seem amused by the hit and stared down Mauk after the hit, via Steakwood:

Ohio State's Strength Coach Body Slammed a Fan Who Went on the Field

Everyone will think twice before running on the field during an Ohio State game. Because it happened Saturday and Ohio State's strength coach slammed the fan to the ground then picked him up and walked him off of the field.

Red Sox Fans Did the Derek Jeter Chant in Fenway

As heated as the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry has been at time during Derek Jeter's career, one wouldn't expect the fans at Fenway to be cheering for Jeter or chanting his name. But that's exactly what they've done in the first two games of his final series.

They chanted for Jeter on Friday night and he didn't even play.

Arkansas Pulled Off a Fake Punt for a Touchdown

Arkansas took a 21-14 lead on Texas A&M right before halftime with a 51 yard touchdown on a fake punt. A gutsy call and a pretty good run by the punter.

Two Penn State Lineman Blocked Each Other

This isn't the first time offensive lineman have blocked one another and it probably won't be the last. It happened to Penn State today during their 29-6 beat down at the hands of Northwestern.

As you can tell by the score offensive lineman blocking each other was just one of many issues the Nittany Lions had today.

Todd Gurley Hurdled a Defender

Todd Gurley continues to add to his personal highlight reel. Gurley hurdled a Tennessee defender and was a big part of number 12 Georgia's victory.  Georgia was able to hold off Tennessee 35-32.

The Kansas City Royals Just Won the World Series....

Okay the Kansas City Royals didn't win the World Series and they won't. Not this year anyway. They just celebrated like they did.

The Royals did clinch a playoff spot and will play post season baseball for the first time since 1985.  So I shouldn't blame them for being a little excited.

Did Rajon Rondo Really Break His Hand in the Shower? Or Was it On The Sink?

Rajon Rondo will be out 6-8 weeks after breaking his hand during a fall in the shower.  No Rondo isn't 80 years old.  And yes he's a professional athlete.

While it isn't unheard of for an athlete to hurt themselves at home, it's probably not how Rondo hurt himself.  That's because Rondo spent the day at an indoor trampoline park.  He even took a picture with a fan.

Why he decided to go with the old fall in the shower story, only he knows.  It would have been a more entertaining story to blame it on the sink.

If You Do Nothing Else This Weekend You Must Look At This: Charlotte McKinney Was on Tosh.0

Charlotte McKinney's appearance on Tosh.0 has left a huge impression on us all. It's the weekend time to relax and laugh at another's misfortune before receiving a gift of your own.

It's That Time Again: Freestyle Friday from the Texans Cheerleaders

I know it's just a video of cheerleaders dancing, but it somehow doesn't get old.

It is a wonderful way to kickoff the weekend.

Hunter Pence is Ready For the Post Season

The Giants and Hunter Pence clinched a spot in the playoffs last night. Pence was excited by the achievement and gave an awesome post game speech.

One of those old school ones with plenty of profanity.

This Hit on Niles Paul Pretty Much Sums Up Thursday Night's Giants-Redskins Matchup

Redskins tight end, Niles Paul, made a catch over the middle and was smashed by two Giants defenders and knocked out cold.

That vicious hit on Paul sums up how the game went last night.  The Giants absolutely destroyed the Redskins 45-14.  Eli Manning and the Giants offense finally started to click and the new offense was almost unstoppable.

Charlotte Hornets Player Arrested for Domestic Violence in Michigan

Jeffery Matthew Taylor was arrested at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place in Michigan.  The Charlotte Hornets forward was charged with one count of domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property.

According to WCNC the Hornets are aware of the arrest and have released a statement:
"The Charlotte Hornets were made aware of the incident involving Jeffery Taylor early this evening. The organization is in the process of gathering more information and doing our due diligence. This is a matter that we take very seriously."
Not a good look for Charlotte who is already dealing with a domestic violence incident involving Panthers star Greg Hardy.

Derek Jeter's Nephew Tops Off a Perfect Night with Tip of His Cap

Derek Jeter's young nephew, Jalen, made a perfect night even better with a tip of his cap.  Jeter couldn't have scripted a more perfect ending to a career that was filled with big moments.

Young Jalen's hat tip was just icing on the cake.

Derek Jeter Wins His Final Game in Yankee Stadium with a Walk Off Hit

This is what makes Derek Jeter great.  It's not numbers or his ability to make all of the plays.  It's moments like this.  His ability to rise to the occassion.

Jeter had an amazing knack to come up big in the biggest moments.  From his huge post season hits and defensive plays, to his homerun on his 3,000th hit and now this.

Meet Allyson Miller The Woman Who Took The Moustakas Glove to the Face

Ask and you shall receive.  I took to twitter to see if anyone knew who the lucky lady was that took the Mike Moustakas glove to the face and sure enough someone did know her.

Her name is Allyson Miller and she was nice enough to provide a bio and answer a few questions about her experience.

Kevin Durant Plays NBA 2K15 as LeBron

Kevin Durant was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon when he revealed that he plays NBA 2K15 as LeBron.  That's right, he's on the cover of the game but plays as LeBron just like you do.

Drew Brees Critical of Roger Goodell Wants a New Disciplinary System

Drew Brees spoke out on the NFL and Roger Goodell's handling of disciplinary issues over the past few years.  Brees is obviously referring to the "Bounty Gate" scandal that the Saints were involved in, in addition to the Ray Rice situation.

Brees' message was pretty clear, he had this to say about what he thinks the system should be- "You want due process.  You want a fair process.  You want a transparent process."

Fan Hoping to Catch a Foul Ball Gets a Glove to the Face Instead

A foul ball into the stands can be an entertaining event. Especially when a player attempts to make a play on it.  The fan had no idea she was about to catch some leather to the side of the face.

Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas was trying to catch a foul ball when the rolled up tarp interrupted his concentration and he inadvertently slapped a woman in the face with his glove.

The Dodgers Pulled Out All the Tricks and Beat the Giants to Clinch the Division

The Giants and the Dodgers were fighting for the NL West division title last night against one another.  The Dodgers pulled out a few tricks to win the clinching game 9-1.

Well maybe tricks is the wrong word, they made some great plays to clinch the division for the second straight year.

Victor Martinez Hit by a Pitch, Benches Clear in Detroit

White Sox pitcher Chris Sale thought that the Tigers, well Victor Martinez at least, were stealing signs.  He seemed to think the Tigers bullpen was relaying signs to the Martinez somehow.

Without an earpiece or holding up giant signs I'm not sure how they would do that.

Mitch Williams is Suing MLB Network and Deadspin

Back in May of this year Deadspin ran a couple of stories on Mitch Williams and his inapproprite behavior as a coach of one of his kid's team.

One story included some video tape of Williams yelling at an umpire and the other was about how he had a little league pitcher throw at a kid on purpose.

The MLB Network asked Williams to take a leave of absense following the stories.

ESPN Suspends Bill Simmons

Bill Simmons went after Roger Goodell on his podcast for his handling of the recent domestic violence incidents.  During his rant he dared ESPN to suspend him.

Listen to the podcast here.

Tony Stewart Cleared in Death of Kevin Ward Jr., Ward Had Marijuana in His System

Tony Stewart has been cleared by a grand jury that investigated an on track incident that killed Kevin Ward Jr.  The Ontario County District Attorney, Michael Tantillo, revealed during his press conference that Ward was under enough marijuana to impair his judgement.

Aaron Rodgers Tells Packers Fans to R-E-L-A-X

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense has looked awful this season. Many Packers fans are blaming his lackluster play on Olivia Munn, his new girlfriend.

A notion the former MVP quarterback says is "idiotic."  Of course he's not the first quarterback to date a celebrity and he's not the first to have that girlfriend blamed for on the field struggles.  Remember Tony Romo?

Rodgers shrugged off the concerns during his weekly visit to ESPN Milwaukee and told the Packers fans to R-E-L-A-X.

Whether it's his girlfriend or not Rodgers and the offense better get it together of the Packers might just draft a QB next season.  Remember what they did to Brett Favre.

Paulina Gretzky is Pregnant With Golfer Dustin Johnson's Baby

(paulinagretzky)

This can't be welcomed news for Wayne Gretzky. His daughter, Paulina's fiancee, golfer Dustin Johnson is currently on a leave from the sport amid drug and infidelity allegations.

Paulina Gretzky posted her baby bump on instagram and seems to be happy about her news.  The Great One can always look on the bright side, the kid should be a hell of an athlete.

With a hockey/golfer mix, who knows maybe it will grow up to be Happy Gilmore.

There's always hope.

Nick Saban Took it to The Media

Nick Saban took it to the media and seemed to be enjoying himself.  Alabama is sitting at 4-0 and is coming off a pretty impressive offensive game against Florida.  The Crimson Tide put up 42 points.

Coco Crisp Hit a Bat Boy With a Bat

Coco Crisp lost the grip on his bat during a swing and it hit a bat boy.  I know, when I first read that Crisp's bat had hit a bat boy, I too was hoping that the bat boy said something about his mom or something and Crisp struck him with a bat.

Dodgers-Giants Couple Poured Beer on Each Other for the Kiss Cam

A couple taking in a Giants-Dodgers game in Los Angeles dumped beer on each other. Why you ask? Because they were put on the kiss cam and he's a Dodgers fan while she's a Giants fan.

Makes perfect sense doesn't it?  Waste like 40 dollars in beer and go home smelling like a brewery.

Keith Olbermann Goes to Great Lengths to Tell Everyone Derek Jeter Isn't the Greatest Ever

Keith Olbermann pulled out every stat he could pay a college kid to look up.  Even those made up "advanced metrics."  All to prove that one Derek Jeter isn't the greatest player ever and two that he's not the greatest Yankee ever.

For starters I don't know who he's trying to convince that Jeter isn't the greatest ever or greatest Yankee ever.  I haven't heard anyone arguing that he was either.  Sure Jorge Posada said he was the greatest Yankee but I'm pretty sure he felt like he had to say it.

High School Kicker Makes an Extra Point Off of Defender's Helmet

As you can see by the score, 37-0 at the time of the kick, everything was going the kicking teams way.  A really bad line drive kick nails the defender in the helmet and jumps over his head and goes through the field goal post.

I think at that point, if your on the losing team, you could go ahead and pack your bags and go home.

Yasiel Puig's Great Throw To Get Out at the Plate

Say what you want about Yasiel Puig, he doesn't run the bases well, he flips the bat too much, he sometimes hot dogs it. As long as he can make throws like this one he'll have a long career as a professional baseball player. Puig will no doubt mature as a person and a player, for now you can live with all the extra stuff.

Puig threw out a runner in the top of the 11th inning trying to score on a base hit up the middle.  His throw couldn't be any better.

Derek Jeter Becomes the 15th Recipient of the Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award

Derek Jeter received the Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award from Bud Selig.  Jeter became just the 15th recipient of the award, which I'm not really sure how you qualify to receive it.

Jeter is in likely the last week of his career, although Jeter will always holdout post season hope until the final out.

Who are you haters going to hate next season when he's gone?

Marshawn Lynch Did a Rare Interview and Kept it as Real as Real Gets

Last year's Super Bowl when Marshawn Lynch was forced to interact with the media, everyone got a good look at his discomfort doing interviews.  The Seattle Seahawks superstar, Skittle eating running back rarely does interviews, but granted The Barbershop on 710 ESPN Seattle one and lets you know he's just a down to earth dude not looking for the spotlight.

Lynch let's you know he shits, showers and shaves just like you do and gives one of the most down to earth interviews you'll ever hear a superstar give.

Give the interview a listen.

Tony Dungy Wouldn't Draft Jameis Winston in the First Round

Tony Dungy was on The Dan Patrick Show talking about Jameis Winston and of course whether or not Winston is a first round draft pick or not.  Clearly Winston hasn't been helping his draft stock with all his of the field troubles.

Luckily for Winston, Dungy isn't in a position to draft anybody.  Look it's a hit and miss type of thing when you draft a quarterback in the first round as it is.  So I wouldn't necessarily hold mistakes a kid makes at 20 years old against him.

Bottom line if a team needs a quarterback in the first round and thinks Winston will be a good fit, he'll get drafted.

Tom Brady Knows What It's Like to be Left Hanging

Tom Brady has famously been left hanging on the Patriots sideline over the years.  So he knows what his boss, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, felt like when he was left hanging over the weekend by Mark Wahlberg.  So Brady took to facebook to fix his owner's misfortune.
