Miami Upset Duke On 8 Lateral Last Second Kickoff Return

Miami upset Duke on a kickoff return that had a total of 8 laterals and ended in a touchdown. At the time of the kickoff Duke had a 3 point lead and 6 seconds remaining on the clock.

The incredible return will probably go down as one of the best plays in college history. We'll ignore the flags like the referees did.

Kate Upton was on hand for Saturday's Breeder's Cup with her boyfriend, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. That's one hell of an entrance for the busty blonde.

As she said she wanted to do on Jimmy Fallon earlier in the week, Upton made out with American Pharaoh.

Kate made a pretty big impression on the event. Although it was the horse who made history. With Saturday's win, American Pharaoh's last, the horse became the first Grand Slam winner.

I think if you're a Mets fan you probably like your team's chances against the Royals game 4 starter Chris Young. The 36 year old veteran did have a solid season for Kansas City, but of all the arms they roll out there his is probably the one you want to face the most.

Matz is going for the Mets which means one thing, his grandfather will get plenty of air time and be entertaining as hell. I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Lolo Jones, who is recovering from her own surgery, dressed up as an injured Derrick Rose for Halloween. I'm sure Bulls fans and Rose himself won't be happy about it, but it's a pretty funny costume.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly dressed up like Cam Newton for Halloween. Besides the fact that he's a few inches shorter than Cam, Kuechly nailed the costume.

You have a much better time when you're undefeated. It should be a good game on Monday for the Panthers, as they take on the desperate Colts.

JT Barrett Was Arrested For DUI After He Attempted To Avoid A DUI Checkpoint

Ohio State quarterback JT Barrett was arrested for a DUI After he attempted to avoid a DUI checkpoint. He might have just settled the OSU quarterback situation as underage drinking at the school comes with a two week suspension for athletes, via Eleven Warriors:

Barrett, 20, was arrested near High and Tompkins, just north of Campus after police noticed the player attempt to avoid an OVI checkpoint in the area. Per CPD sources, Barrett was cooperative and blew into a breathalyzer, registering slightly over Ohio's legal limit of 0.08 blood-alcohol concentration.

The quarterback was released to his teammate, fellow quarterback Cardale Jones, who provided Barrett a ride home.

You can't drink and drive anymore. The kids have to get it through their heads. Take a cab, have a friend drive you.

Especially with the future Barrett has the potential to have. You don't want to throw it all away on a stupid mistake.

Noah Syndergaard Threw The First Pitch Of Game 3 Over Alcides Escobar's Head

Royals leadoff hitter, Alcides Escobar, is aggressive at the plate and likes to swing at the first pitch. Mets game 3 starter Noah Syndergaard decided he would throw the first pitch dangerously close to Escobar's head.

Mike Moustakas immediately had an issue with the pitch and I gave Syndergaard the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was really jacked up and his extra adrenaline caused the pitch to get away.

Russell Westbrook Hit A Half Court Shot To Force Overtime

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Orlando Magic hit three 3 pointers at the end of the 4th quarter. All of the 3s came with 20 seconds left in the game.

Kevin Durant got it started by hitting a game tying shot from beyond the arc. Victor Oladipo followed Durant's shot with one of his own that put the Magic up by three.

Then came Russell Westbrook's half court shot at the end of regulation to force overtime. It's a freaking unbelievable shot.

Jason Pierre Paul Talked About Fireworks Accident And Showed His Injured Hand For The First Time

Jason Pierre Paul met with media and talked about his fireworks accident for the first time. He also his injured hand up close for the first time.

Bottom line is he's ready to get back on the field and play some football. He says his skill set is the same and he'll be the same old JPP.

We'll have to wait and see if when he gets back on the field.

Kordell Stewart Suing Viral Video Star For Saying They Slept With Each Other

Earlier this month viral video star Andrew Caldwell claimed to have slept to Kordell Stewart, among other football players, here it at the 14:40 mark. Kordell is reportedly suing Caldwell for making the claims, via Complex:

“At all times during his life, Mr. Stewart has been, and is, a heterosexual male,” the lawsuit says. “The false and defamatory rumors that Mr. Caldwell...agreed to publish are centered around Mr. Stewart having an extramarital, sexual relationship with Mr. Caldwell.”

It looks like a battle in court will have to settle this. But what if Kordell loses? Or Andrew comes up with some evidence to support his claims? Seems like Kordell is the only one with something to lose here.

Don Mattingly was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show earlier in the week and talked about his departure from Los Angeles. Mattingly seems likely to be taking his talents to Miami, but couldn't really share much about a potential deal to manage the Marlins.

Mattingly was however open about the amount of money the Dodgers are wasting on players who no longer have the ability to start and the different challenges that face a team like the Marlins.

I love Mattingly and would love to see him back in pinstripes, so the fact that he might be the next manager of the Marlins kind of makes me sick. I'm still going to hold out hope that once Girardi is gone the Yankees will do the right think and bring him back.

Ray Rice was back in Baltimore and was donating uniforms to cheerleaders or something. Rice took a little bit of time away from staring at the phone waiting for an NFL team to call to be with the kids. He spoke to and hung out with the them during his visit. I'm glad he's the guy the school decided to allow to visit and speak to the kids.

Blake Bortles did an interview with Barstool Sports that is funny as hell. As you can see in the clip above he says whatever is on his mind. The Jaguars starting quarterback seems like a really down to earth guy that you'd want to hang out with.

Bortles' is about as open and honest as a professional athlete could be. He talks about crushing on Charlotte McKinney and his love of large breasted blondes. He even shares a little about his current relationship with his ex Lindsey Duke.

The press release reads, in part, that the partnership came together after Funny Or Die's President of Production, Mike Farah, heard about the Pistons efforts to enhance the fan experience.

Sammy Watkins commented on one of his Instagram posts blasting the fans that dared to question his injuries. Of course it was deleted and of course someone took a screenshot of the comment.

I would have deleted it too. He used the word "once" for what I'm guessing was supposed to be "wants." I want to see him when his playing days are over and he's blown all of his money. You know, when he has to go get one of those "little" jobs.

As a guest on ESPN's Highly Questionable, Lakers forward Carlos Boozer told several stories including the time he sued Prince and the time he punched a referee in the junk. But the story of the time he played a game with what looked like shoe polish on his head took the cake.

Boozer vowed to never do it again. He says he tried to shampoo it several times before playing with it and it wouldn't come out.

The Royals look very impressive and have taken a 2-0 lead in the World Series. Last night wasn't as close as game 1 with Royals starter Johnny Cueto pitching a complete game and holding the Mets to just 2 hits and a run.

That performance was more than enough for the Royals offense as they were able to put up 7 runs on the Mets.

Justise Winslow Dunked All Over The Hornets

Miami Heat rookie Justise Winslow was passed up by the Hornets in the draft. Winslow exacted a little revenge on the Hornets by dunking all over their entire starting lineup.

You have to hate when a passed up draft pick gets the better of your team.

Dwyane Wade introduced Taylor Swift to the Miami crowd to open her concert. The Heat guard also presented the leggy blonde with her own Heat jersey. It was a number 13, her favorite number, complete with her last name on it.

Swift gave Wade a big hug afterwards and that's probably why he gave her a personalized jersey. You can't go out there empty handed and walk away with nothing yourself. Smart move on DWade's part.

The NFL Admits Referee Mistake On Monday Night

The NFL's VP of officiating, Dean Blandino, admitted last night that referee Ronald Torbert didn’t see offensive lineman John Urschel report as an eligible receiver. Urschel clearly did and the next play caught a pass that was penalized and should not have been, The Baltimore Sun:

“Mechanically, we’re looking for players, especially ineligible players who are going to report as eligible, they are going to come into the game like you saw Urschel do and they are going to basically wave their hands over their chest to signal to the referee that 'I’m reporting as eligible,'” Blandino said during his weekly “Official Review” segment on NFL Network.

“It’s important that the referee recognizes that, it’s important that the player gets a visual signal. You’ll see [Urschel], he is signaling to the referee. What the referee was actually doing at that moment, he was correcting a number from a foul on the previous play, and he just didn’t recognize [Urschel] signaling to him. … We didn’t recognize that he reported and that’s why the penalty was called.”

So if you're the Ravens or a fan of the Ravens you feel better about it because he said that they missed it right? The answer of course is hell no, because the penalty led to a field goal instead of a 2nd down and 4 from the 7 yard line. It very well could have had an impact on the outcome of the game. We'll never know because the official blew it.

LeBron James attempted to drive and score on Pau Gasol with the Cavs down by two. Pau was having none of it. He swatted LeBron's game tying attempt with time running down on the game clock.

The block saved the game for the Bulls. Looks like Gasol still has ball left in him. The game saving block was one of six for the Bulls big man.

Eric Hosmer Won Game 1 With A Sacrifice Fly In The Bottom Of The 14th Inning

Eric Hosmer put an end to game 1 of the 2015 World Series with a walk off sacrifice fly. Wait is that a thing?

Game 1 had it all- an inside the park homerun to lead off the bottom of the first, a pitcher pitching on the same day his father died, a delay due to a power outage in the broadcast van, a blown save, extra innings and a walk off sacrifice fly.

Who scored the winning run on Hosmer's sac fly? Of course it was Alcides Escobar.

Alex Gordon Hit A Game Tying Homerun In The Bottom Of The 9th

The Kansas City Royals are a tough out. They were down 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th against one of the toughest closers in the game.

Alex Gordon hit a homerun to centerfield off of the Mets closer Jeurys Familia to tie the game at 4 and send game 1 into extra innings.

What a huge homerun.

Alcides Escobar Hit An Inside The Park Homerun To Leadoff The Bottom Of The First

Alcides Escobar swung at the very first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first inning. The result was a deep gap shot that Mets centerfielder Yoenis Cespedes couldn't catch.

So why not an inside the park homerun to start the scoring in the 2015 World Series? With a start like that you knew game 1 wasn't going to disappoint.

Jason Pierre Paul has signed an incentive heavy deal to return to the Giants. He will reportedly return either week 10 or 12, via ESPN:

Sources with knowledge of the situation said Pierre-Paul's deal is heavy on incentives tied to how much of the remainder of this season he is able to play. Because he has not practiced with the team since last season (he skipped the offseason program to protest the team's not signing him to a long-term contract), the Giants aren't yet ready to put him on the field. They have a two-game roster exemption for him, and they hope he can get into shape to play by Week 10 or Week 12. The Giants have a bye in Week 11.

It's good to see JPP will be able to return to the NFL. We'll have to wait and see if he's anything close to the JPP of old. You hate to see one mistake ruin a man's life. At least he'll get a second chance.

According to the New York Daily News, Derek Jeter and his girlfriend of three years Hannah Davis are engaged. There have been rumors of a Jeter-Davis engagement before.

Jeter and Davis are finally ready to tie the knot after three years together, and if The Captain hasn't yet set a date, that'll be the next step.

The Baltimore Ravens were not happy with the officials after their Monday night loss in Arizona. There were several calls (documented on the Ravens website) that went against them.

The players voiced their displeasure after the game as well. With Steve Smith offering up a gem when asked about the refs, "Everybody has that app Yelp, and you have reviews. Two stars."

Timberwolves GM and head coach Flip Saunders died yesterday after a brief battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma, he was 60 years old. Saunders was diagnosed with the disease back in August and characterized it as treatable.

Saunders expected to return to coaching this season. His passing comes only days after the Timberwolves announced he would not be able to coach during the 2015-16 season.

Greg Hardy Did A Shirtless "No Comment Next Question" Postgame Interview

It didn't take Greg Hardy very long to start acting like an ass in Dallas. The troubled defensive end was suspended for the first four games of the season.

So his little outburst during Sunday's loss to the Giants comes in his second game in a Cowboys uniform.

Hardy's little fit included shoving teammates and coaches on the sideline and a shouting match with Dez Bryant. He's a real nice guy, a class act.

After the game it was more of the same from Hardy as he answered each question by saying, "no comment, next question."

A late touchdown by Alabama on top 19-14 and allowed them to avoid an upset at the hands of Tennessee. It also was a let down for former Tennessee quarterback, Peyton Manning, and he couldn't help but show his disappointment.

A Drunk Driver Ran Her Car Through The Oklahoma State Homecoming Parade Killing 4 People

Earlier today during the Oklahoma State homecoming parade was interrupted by a drunk driver who ran through a barricade and then through parade spectators. Four people were killed and up to 44 others were injured as a result of the crash.

The 25 year old driver, Adacia Chambers, was arrested at the scene.

What the hell is wrong with people? I mean how long have we been driving cars? You can't drink and then drive. It doesn't work and people get hurt and killed.

The Texas Longhorns special teams struggle continues this season. Ugly special teams play has cost them a couple games. Even when they win they're still having a hard time.

The Longhorns won their third game of the season, coasting to a 23-9 win over Kansas State.

During the game the special teams had a bit of an issue snapping the ball. The ball was snapped over the punter's head, luckily he was able to recover the ball and punt it away before Kansas State turned it into a big play.

Clemson absolutely smashed Miami today in front of a largely empty stadium. The final score was 58-0 Clemson as the players on the field didn't put up much of a fight.

The team could have used some of the fans to help them out as they seemed to have plenty of fight in them, making an ugly day even uglier.

The Kansas City Royals scored the winning run from first base on a single down the rightfield line. Eric Hosmer singled into right and Lorenzo Cain scored from first base. Cain was able to score because Jose Bautista threw the ball into second base.

Bautista might have kept the Blue Jays in the game with two homers, but he cost them the game with another defensive miscue. That throw needs to hit the first baseman, who is the cut off man on a throw to the plate.

Hosmer taking second in that situation isn't as big as allowing the run to score. It was a very aggressive play on the part of the Royals, but that's how they play the game.

In the end the Royals won their second straight American League Pennant. That is an impressive feat and no matter how good your team is it's very difficult.

Chris Colabello tried the ol' show the umpire the empty glove trick to try to get an out call. There was only one problem with his plan, the ball was in plain view behind him.

If he was in fact trying to do that it would be better than what actually happened. Colabello didn't realize that he hadn't caught the ball. It was only after Mike Moustakas pointed to the ball on the ground did he realize he hadn't caught it.

Suzy Kolber, probably a little off script, took time at the end of NFL Insiders to acknowledge and thank the 300 plus employees laid off by ESPN. It's an unexpected and classy move on the part of Kolber.

Postseason David Price is in the building and that's not a good thing if you're a Blue Jays fan. The Royals lead the series 3-2 and the last thing they need is postseason Price.

Price has given up a homerun in each of the first two innings of game 6. The second blast came off of the bat of Mike Moustakas and had a little help from a fan in center.

After review the home run stood and so did the 2-0 lead.

TMZ Sports reported that a home owned by Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson was invaded on Wednesday.

Jackson was not there at the time of the invasion, but there were several people inside the home.

Authorities believe that the incident is gang related. Which is very interesting considering the fact that Jackson was let go by the Eagles for his ties to gangs.

His time so far in Washington has been very quiet both on and off the field. But it looks like he's still hanging out with a rough crowd that includes gang members.

Lynch has been battling injuries, but last night seemed like he was back to Beast Mode. He ran for 122 yards on 27 carries and a touchdown.
