Brian McCann Reportedly Cleared Waivers And Could Be The Next Yankee Move
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
According to Jon Heyman, Brian McCann has cleared waivers. The move is a necessary one if a team is going to trade a player after the trade deadline. McCann could be the next move in the Yankees youth movement.
Atlanta could be a possible landing place for the Yankees catcher. They were reportedly interested in bringing McCann back before the trade deadline.
Great. Now let's get rid of some more of that dead weight. Send Jacoby Ellsbury, another Brian Cashman mistake, and Brett Gardener's wasted spot in the order packing. Make it an almost completely Triple A squad.

Jacoby Ellsbury Stole Home As The Yanks Get Back In The Win Column
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

I love the aggressive play. Two on two out? Steal home and take a run because YOLO. Speed and trips to the DL are the only things that Jacoby Ellsbury brings to the table.

Mike Trout Shows You What MVP Material Is Made Of
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Mike Trout may not have won the MVP last year, but he did in 2014. He has also been the runner up for the award in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
If you're not rolling heavy ass tires with weights in them you're not trying.
Man I wish he would have tested free agency and ended upin the Bronx. Instead we're stuck with Mr. DL, Jacoby Ellsbury.

The Yankees Swept The Red Sox!
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

I know this weekend was a rough one for ESPN, the Red Sox losing to the Yankees is always tough for them. That is music to my ears!
Forget all of the other sporting events this weekend the Yanks sweeping the Red Sox tops them all. The Yankees have now won 8 of their last 10 and are on top in the AL East.
I know it's early but you don't hear anyone making a big deal about it like they are with the Mets, who will eventually come down to earth. I'm pretty sure nobody had the Yanks in first in the AL East.
Sunday's 8-5 win over Boston wasn't without a little rivalry fun. Hanley Ramirez threw a fit after being hit by an Adam Warren pitch.
Ramirez' little fit led to former Red Sox now Yankee Jacoby Ellsbury getting hit later in the game. The benches didn't empty and the game was finished without further incident.
With more games to come between these two teams I doubt we've seen the last of this.

David Ortiz Called Jacoby Ellsbury A Rich Bitch
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

During Sunday's blowout loss to the Yankees, David Ortiz found time to yell at Jacoby Ellsbury while he was on second base. He could be heard on TV calling Ellsbury a "rich bitch."
Sounds like Ortiz is a little jealous of the former Red Sox turned Yankee and his big contract.

The Yankees Recreated A Scene From The Baseball Movie Sandlot
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

The New York Yankees seem to be having a relaxing spring training. So relaxing they have time to recreate a scene from Sandlot. The scene, of course, references one of the greatest Yankees of all time, Babe Ruth.
Something tells me they wouldn't be doing this if Derek Jeter were still playing. The skit includes current Yankees Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann and Dellin Betances to name a few.

Hockey Announcer Struggles Mightily to Pronounce Jacoby Ellsbury's Name
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Hockey announcer, Don Cherry, can't say Jacoby Ellsbury's name. I don't know the back story (and I'm too lazy to look it up) as to why he was even talking about Ellsbury, but the attempt is internet magic.

Yankees and Red Sox Fans Trade Stupid Signs
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Sometimes people hold up signs to identify themselves as complete dumb asses. This Yankees fan is at the Seattle vs Anaheim game giving Robinson Cano hell about taking the money. Even though the Yankees offer to Cano was actually more annually. Cano left for the years.
Yes. That's a (awful) Yankee (in Anaheim) fan complaining that it's all about the money with Robinson Cano. pic.twitter.com/UZ0nTfXXtW

But not to be outdone by the Yankees, a Red Sox fan showed up to the Yankees vs Astros game to tell Jacoby Ellsbury how much of a traitor he is. Only one problem, okay two....

Yankees Introduce Jacoby Ellsbury
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
The formal introduction of Jacoby Ellsbury as the Yankees new center fielder occurred today. While I was able to watch without vomiting, in part because of Mrs. Ellsbury a small part of me did in fact die. As a fan of the Yankees Ellsbury's signing is a hard pill to swallow.
I know there have been others- Babe Ruth, Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon to name a few. I didn't hate them as much as I hate Ellsbury. But I guess he'll fit in nicely with my hatred of Girardi.

Carlos Beltran Signs with the Yankees
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
On the a day when both Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson left town the Yankees signed Carlos Beltran. After signing Jacoby Ellsbury the Yankees are now loaded with outfielders.
You gotta think either Beltran will be DHing the majority of time or Brett Gardner is on the way out. Given Beltran's age he'll likely be DH. Beltran signed for 3 years and $45 million dollars.

Mike Napoli Staying Put
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Mike Napoli and his beard announced via his twitter account that he's staying in Boston. It is being reported that the first basemen will ink a two year $32 million dollar contract to stay put in Boston.
It is also widely believed he had better offers on the table and chose to remain with the Red Sox. Napoli of course was a key part of the Red Sox World Series run this past season and obviously want to try it again.

The signing is actually refreshing considering what has happened this week with Ellsbury, Saltalamacchia and Cano ditching clubs they spent several years with in favor of money.

Red Sox Jumping Ship After World Series Victory
Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest
Both Jarrod Saltalamacchia (signed with the Marlins) and Jacoby Ellsbury have left the Red Sox following this years World Series. In what has already been a very active offseason around the MLB the two Red Sox signed elsewhere and one to the hated rivals the New York Yankees.
Saltalamacchia and Ellsbury are the first two big Red Sox names to go and a couple more could follow. Mike Napoli and Stephen Drew both remain unsigned and it's not clear whether or not they'll return.
