Fox Sports is reporting that the Marlins are discussing a record deal with their big slugger,
Giancarlo Stanton. The deal would be a $300 million dollar 10 year deal.
The two sides are discussing a deal that would be for at least 10 years and at least $300 million, according to major-league sources.
Stanton's representatives also have discussed shorter contracts with the Marlins, and the mere fact that the sides continue to talk is a sign of progress, sources say.
I thought and wad hoping that the 10 year deals were over. Leave it to the Marlins, a team that hardly ever keeps players for long periods of time, to keep the 10 year deal alive.
