Lou Amundson Took A Basketball Off The Junk

Last night during the Pistons-Knicks snooze fest there was one play worth watching.  A guy took a basketball to the junk.

Lou Amundson of the Knicks got nailed in the junk on one of those save the ball by throwing it off of the other team.  That's right the Lou Amundson took a ball off the junk.

How far have the Knicks fallen when the top play of the game is a ball off the balls and a player you've never heard of is involved?

Russell Westbrook Got A Dent In His Face

Russell Westbrook was kneed in the face by a teammate in the last seconds of last night's game against Portland.  After the kneeing he had a dent in his face.

Westbrook stayed in the game for the final seconds with his dented face.  I'm no doctor so I have no idea how your cheekbone gets dented.

It just looks like it's bad.

Anthony Mason Died This Morning

Anthony Mason died this morning at the age of 48.  The former Knick suffered from congestive heart failure earlier this month and had undergone several surgeries before eventually losing his fight.

His son, Anthony Mason Jr., released a statement following his father's passing, via the New York Post:
“Overnight New York City and the world lost a legend, a friend, a brother … but more than anything our father,” his son, Anthony Mason Jr., said in a statement.

“As you all would expect, our father — Big Mase — put up an incredible fight, dealing with severe heart issues,” the statement said.
They sure don't make them like Mase anymore, with this soft ass flopping NBA.

R.I.P Anthony Mason.

Festus Ezeli And Tyler Hansbrough Get Into A Shoving Match

During the Warriors blow out of the Raptors in Toronto tempers flared.  Tyler Hansbrough got tangled up with Festus Ezeli.

After separating for a moment the two ended up finding each other and Ezeli decided to put his hand on Hansbrough's throat.  That was enough to kick off the shoving match that resulted in ejections.

Erin Heatherton Helped Giancarlo Stanton Get Body Painted For SI

Florida Marlins big priced superstar, Giancarlo Stanton appeared on this week's Sports Illustrated in body paint.  He got a little help from one of the SI Swimsuit models too.

Erin Heatherton didn't just help Stanton with his body painting, she also gushed at how good looking he is.  She was clearly impressed with his body.

Not a bad gig for the Marlins $300 million man.

Derrick Rose Had Surgery Expected To Be Back In 4-6 Weeks

According to Bulls GM, Gar Forman, Derrick Rose had a successful minor procedure on his knee.  Forman said Rose is expected by in 4-6 weeks.  That's according to the GM not Rose himself.

We all know Rose doesn't like to rush himself back from injury.  He has all those business meetings later in life that he can't be sore for.

But in the meantime we can all speculate about Rose until he actually comes back.

Herm Edwards Breaking Down The Llamas Might Be His Finest Work

ESPN runs out of sports stories all the time, it's hard to do 24/7 sports coverage.  We all get that.  They often do these types of "filler" segments.

This one with Herm Edwards breaking down the runaway llamas might just be Herm's finest work.  It looks like they've finally discovered something he's good at.

Lindsey Duke Is Back With A Bikini Picture With Her Friend

Lindsey Duke had been away from social media for some time following the breakup with her boyfriend, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.  The rumors surrounding their split say the breakup was because Bortles was jealous of all of the attention the Duke was receiving.

If that's true it's his loss.  I don't think she'll have any trouble finding a replacement for Bortles.

Duke posted this pic to her instagram account a couple days ago, enjoy.

Russell Westbrook Left Kevin Durant Hanging

During the third quarter of last night's overtime loss to the Suns, as he was heading to the bench for a rest, Russell Westbrook left the injured Kevin Durant hanging.  To be fair to Durant, Westbrook also left another teammate hanging.  As you can see in the video below that teammate ends up giving Durant five as to make up for being dissed by Westbrook.

It's a pretty funny thing to watch guys get left hanging.  I don't think it was on purpose, it rarely is, it just happens sometimes.

Ronda Rousey And Cat Zingano Had A Stare Down Like No Other

UFC 184 is Saturday Night February 28th and the main event is Cat Zingano taking on the champ Ronda Rousey.  The two fighters had a stare down like no others, it featured evening wear.

I have to admit there probably hasn't been a better looking stare down in the history of the sport.

As for the fight, Zingano is supposed to be Rousey's biggest challenge to date, but I still expect Rousey to make fairly easy work of her.  We've seen this before, "this is Rousey's biggest test" and what does she do?

She walks right through them.

Model And UFC Ring Girl Arianny Celeste Just Took Over Instagram

Arianny Celeste posted an incredible video on instagram.   The post comes as the UFC ring girl is in the middle of another feud with UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.  Celeste called Rousey a bully recently and the champ didn't like the name calling.

All I have say to the big bull is relax, it's Friday, let's enjoy this video by Arianny.

Dez Bryant Beat Up His Mom In 2012

TMZ posted a police video that shoes Dez Bryant's mother explaining an incident involving her son were he pretty much roughed up his own mother.  This isn't "the video" though that reportedly shows Dez dragging a woman by her hair in a Wal Mart parking lot.

Either that video doesn't exist or Dez got the money to his bribers before a media outlet did.  Sure it's a little disturbing to here a woman describe how her own son roughed her up, but this incident has been resolved.
Dez Bryant's mom sat in front of a camera and told cops the NFL star roughed her up, threatened her and ripped her shirt during a 2012 incident in Texas ... and TMZ Sports has the interview video.

Dez was arrested for assault following the incident ... but the charge was eventually dropped when Dez cut a deal with prosecutors -- which required the NFL star to stay out of trouble for the following year (he did).
It's clear Dez has a long history of poor off the field decisions and the Cowboys are smart to weigh their options before committing to him with a long term contract.  But all of these incidents are several years ago and as far as anybody knows he's kept his nose clean for a while now.

Vandy Head Coach Told A Player He Was Going To F-ing Kill Him

Vanderbilt beat Tennessee and following the game a Vandy player was spotted rubbing it in.  The player was clapping in a Vols player's face.

That didn't sit well with Tennessee and they let Kevin Stallings, Vandys head coach, know about it.  Stallings flipped his lid.

Hannah Davis Has A Nice Golf Swing

Hannah Davis posted a video on instagram of her first time golfing.  Davis has a pretty good swing.  A little inside out action.

Derek Jeter must have taught her how to swing.

Britt McHenry Doing Her Damn Thing At Phillies Spring Training

ESPN's Britt McHenry will make you want to catch some spring training baseball.  She is just about the only thing worth checking out at the Phillies spring training facility.

McHenry is throwing her name into the contest for the hot blonde baseball chick title.  A title currently held down by MLB Network's Heidi Watney.

It's official Heidi, Britt is coming for you.

Adrian Peterson's Suspension Has Been Overturned

A federal judge threw out the NFL's suspension of Adrain Peterson.  U.S. District Court Judge David Doty ruled in favor of Peterson.  He's officially reinstated and for the time being a member of the Vikings.

Bill Walton Still Has Dementia

Bill Walton is somehow still working college basketball games for ESPN.  That or he just shows up and gets behind a microphone, and nobody wants to be the one to take it away.

How else can you explain a reference to Jane Austen?  Or the fact that he doesn't know what a Ferris wheel is?

Penguins And Caps Got Into A Scrap In The Penguins Bench

The Penguins and Capitals are one of the NHL's best rivalries.  They took it to new heights last night by fighting in the Penguin's bench.

Two Capitals players, Tom Wilson and Michael Latta, ended up in the Penguins bench for a little up close conversation.  It all started because Wilson got checked by a Penguin.

It all ended with two Penguins, Blake Comeau and Steve Downie, and Wilson and Latta of Washington, all picking up penalties.

NFL.com Reported The Dez Bryant Incident Took Place In 2011

Ian Rapoport reported on NFL.com that the Dez Bryant incident at Wal Mart happened in July of 2011.  The police were called, but no charges were filed.
I have learned via another open-records request that in mid-2011 there was an additional incident involving Bryant. A report filed by the Lancaster (Texas) Police Department described the response by an officer to "an unknown disturbance" in a Walmart parking lot during the early morning of July 11. Vehicles registered to Bryant were at the scene in the parking lot, and Bryant later arrived in another car, when he was spoken to by a Lancaster PD officer. Upon further investigation, "it was determined that there was no offense" and "all parties were advised they were free to go."
There must be more to the story and if a video exists it must tell that story.  It sounds like someone is going to get a nice payday if the video shows some Ray Rice stuff going down.

DeMarcus Cousins Kicked A Chair And Scared A Lady

DeMarcus Cousins threw a little fit on the Kings bench after committing his third foul of the first half.  On the way to his seat he decided to kick an empty chair and scared the piss out of a lady in the stands.

Cousins then exchanged words with Tony Allen of the Grizzlies.

Markel Brown Threw Down A 360 Dunk

Markel Brown of the Brooklyn Nets came away with a steal and finished the play with a 360 dunk.  It's one thing to pull of a 360 in practice it's another thing to do it in a game.

Why not throw it down with style?  The dunk impressed the New Orleans crowd and the announcer who called it Markelevation.

Aaron Gordon Lost His Shoe And Then Forgot How To Shoot

Orlando Magic small forward Aaron Gordon lost a shoe before missing a shot horribly, in a play that looked a lot like 5 year olds playing basketball.  Gordon appears to have been so excited at how open he was that he ran out of his shoe.

Once he lost his shoe he should have been looking to pass.

Jusuf Nurkic Is Teaching Lessons To Floppers

I'm waiting patiently for the day that NBA players stop falling down every time someone touches them (in some cases touching isn't required).  Nuggets big man Jusuf Nurkic isn't as patient.  He's busy teaching floppers lessons.

Nurkic backed down Markief Morris of Phoenix when the two players touched, that of course sent Morris to the ground.  Nurkic completed the play by scoring and then handing the ball to Morris who was still laying on the floor.

Nurkic did receive a technical for his lesson and it was worth it.  Stop being soft!

The Timberwolves Fans Are Happy To Have Kevin Garnett Back

Kevin Garnett was traded back to his original team the Minnesota Timberwolves and the fans are happy about it.  Nobody was more happy about it than this guy.

KG recognized the fans dedication too.  Got to love the dude's effort.

David Ortiz Whines Like A Bitch About Pace Of Play Rules

David Ortiz just found out about the new pace of play rules that MLB will enforce in the upcoming season.  He just found out because he loves the game so much he pays attention to rule changes or enforcement of existing rules....wait.

Ortiz called the enforcement of the rule that a batter must keep one foot in the batter's box between pitches, "bullshit."  Then said he's not going to change and that he doesn't care if he's fined.  According to Ortiz he's not changing his game.

He does know it's not a new rule right?. They are just going to enforce it.

Sounds like a bunch of bitching from the Big Baby.

Josh Hamilton To Be Suspended For Drug Abuse

Reports surfaced today the injury Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton had a meeting with MLB to discuss an upcoming punishment.  Given Hamilton's past the speculation and rumor machine is that Hamilton will be suspended 80 games for failing a drug test for a "drug of abuse."  So not PEDs.

According to Halos Heaven:
Angels OF Josh Hamilton is heading toward a suspension for using a "drug of abuse" according to numerous MLB sources.

It appears he will be undergoing an eighty-game suspension, again, according to unconfirmed but reliable sources from major media organizations.

This explains why he has not shown up to Spring Training. This explains why he was rehabbing from his surgery in Houston while his wife is shooting "Real Housewives" in Orange County.
This is bad news for Hamilton and the Angels.  Despite his recent surgery he was expected to join the club sometime in May and coming of a down season this isn't going to help.

Adam Schefter Confirms That He Knows About The Dez Bryant Video

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter says he's know about the Dez Bryant video since September.  He also says he's been working on gathering the facts around the video since then as well.

Where there is smoke there is fire.  You have to believe that there is a video out there and it's bad.  Whether or not it will see the light of day is another story.  Bryant or the Cowboys could end up paying a large amount of money to make sure that it doesn't, via Terez Owens:

Patrick Kane Might Have Broken Collarbone After Check Into Boards

Patrick Kane was checked from behind in the first period of last night's Blackhawks-Panthers game.  The hit by Alex Petrovic wasn't a hard hit, but Kane fell and hit the boards pretty hard.

Kane was slow to get up and had to leave the game.  The Blackhawks have only revealed that he suffered an upper body injury.  It is rumored that the injury is a broken collarbone.

The NHL's leading scorer could be out 6-10 weeks.

Hope Solo Speaks Out Claims She Was The Victim Of Domestic Violence

Hope Solo sat down with Robin Roberts of ABC News to talk about her domestic violence incident.  Solo declined to provide the details of the night that resulted in her being charged with domestic violence.

What she did say was that she was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her nephew.  She claims to have received a concussion from him while also noting his size, 6'9" and 280 pounds.

It's the old blame the victim defense and it must have worked because the charges were dropped.

Rajon Rondo And Rick Carlisle Got In A Shouting Match During The Game

Rajon Rondo seems to be getting along just fine with his new team.  Well except for when Rick Carlisle told him to call a timeout and Rondo ignored his coach.  That led to an in game shouting match between head coach and point guard.

Not exactly a recipe for success.  Rondo didn't take his coach's criticism lightly throwing what appear to be an f bomb back in his coach's direction.

Again, probably not what you want to see if you're trying to prepare for the playoffs.

Check Out One Of The Best Hockey Saves You'll See

Calgary Flames goalie, Karri Ramo, made unreal save against the New York Rangers last night.  A shot ricocheted off of one of the posts and ended up on the end of one of the Rangers stick.  He went for the shot, but Ramo dove with full extension and made a hell of a glove save.

The Ranger who took the shot was in disbelief that the save had been made.  He stood still for a moment trying to process how Ramo had made the save on a wide open net.  Great save, one of the best you'll see.

Derrick Rose Will Have Another Knee Surgery

If people were questioning whether or not this guy could play an entire NBA season after two knee injuries then a third is only going to add fuel to their argument.  Derrick Rose needs a third knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Rose is only 26 years old but has missed significant time due to his knees. He tore his ACL in a playoff game in 2012, then suffered a torn meniscus in 2013. He played in only 39 games during the '11-'12 season and 0 in the '12-'13 season.  Last season he managed to only play in 10 games before shutting it down due to injury.

At this point the Bulls are not giving a timetable for his return and one will not be established until after Rose has the surgery.

There is no doubting his ability when he's on the floor.  He was of course the 2011 MVP and this season in 46 games he is averaging 18.4 points and 5.0 assists.  The question now becomes is the risk worth the reward?

That's a question the Bulls will have to figure out.

Keith Olbermann Has Been Suspended By ESPN For The Rest Of The Week

Keith Olbermann got into some trouble from his employer ESPN after he got into twitter exchanges with several people after he tweeted the word "Pitiful" in response to a tweet about Penn State raising money for pediatric cancer.
The ESPN host also had several exchanges with others about the original tweet, insulting many of them and their education.  ESPN released a statement announcing Olbermann's suspension.
We are aware of the exchange Keith Olbermann had on Twitter last night regarding Penn State. It was completely inappropriate and does not reflect the views of ESPN. We have discussed it with Keith, who recognizes he was wrong. ESPN and Keith have agreed that he will not host his show for the remainder of this week and will return on Monday. The annual tradition of THON and the efforts of the students of Penn State to fight pediatric cancer should be applauded.
Olbermann himself took to twitter to apologize for his comments.

Mike Florio Claims There Is A Ray Rice Like Video Of Dez Bryant

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio claims to have heard rumors that a video of Dez Bryant exists and could have a Ray Rice type of affect on his career.

Florio confirmed he had heard the rumor on Dallas radio show on Friday.  The hosts of the show brought up the topic.

If it is true it would explain the Cowboys reluctance to sign Bryant to a long term deal.

Kansas State Upset Number 8 Kansas And All Hell Broke Loose

After Kansas State upset number 8 Kansas the students rushed the floor.  The rowdy crowd bumped players and surrounded Kansas head coach Bill Self.

You can clearly see in the video below a jabroni take the basketball and another purposely run into a Kansas player.  All that to celebrate a win for a 14-15 team.

That isn't even good enough to get into the NIT.  Get real people.

Cleveland Browns Logo from Archer Avenue

Check out more from me, including movie reviews & movie trailers, at Archer Avenue (archeravenue.net).  Also, follow me on Twitter @OlieCoen for sports & movie talk.

Just when you thought that the Cleveland Browns could not possibly look any dumber, they went and outdid themselves.  It’s not that their new updated logo is so terrible, IT’S THAT IT’S EXACTLY THE SAME!  Yes, the terrible orange helmet is a little more nauseatingly orange, and yes, the alternate bulldog logo apparently became a puppy, but other than those minor details, everything is the same.  When your organization is as mocked, ridiculed, and kicked around as the Cleveland Browns, why set yourself up for failure by promising a logo change and then delivering anything but?  And the wording of the press release from the team; let’s just say they reached a whole new level of stupid.  So here’s to another embarrassing season with slightly darker orange helmet logos.  Although, I almost forgot, they’re delivering a uniform change too, on April 14th.  I’ll be over here on the edge of my seat; let me know when it’s ready.

Cleveland Browns Logo Evolution:
Respect the past. Represent the future.

The Cleveland Browns Updated Their Helmets And Logos And They're As Unimpressive As Johnny Football's Rookie Season

The Cleveland Browns made their big reveal today of their new helmets and logos.  And wow they barely did anything, a lot like Johnny Manziel's rookie season.

So maybe a new brightened helmet color and stupid logo is just what they need to go to the next level.  This team needs a front office remake from the top down.

I personally am glad they left the brown unchanged!

Kobe Bryant Reacts To Lakers Acting Like Idiots After Snapping An 8 Game Losing Streak

This year's group of Lakers don't know how to win.  You can tell by their reaction to snapping an 8 game losing streak.  They acted like they just clinched a playoff spot and it's sad.

Jimmy Kimmel had Kobe Bryant on as a guest and showed the future hall of famer how his teammates were acting after losing 16 of 18 games.  Kimmel asked Kobe if they would be acting like that if he was there and not out with his injury.

Kobe didn't have to say anything it was written all over his face.

James Harden Burned Ricky Rubio Down Then Drilled A Three

There isn't a defender that James Harden can't shake.  He went all out on Ricky Rubio and burned him to the ground.

That wasn't enough though Harden went full cold blooded and drained a three to add insult to injury.  It is true that Rubio is known for his passing game, but it's still impressive to shake an NBA player.

The MLB Trolls A Rod On Youtube

On the day that Alex Rodriguez returned to the Yankees, Major League Baseball decided to post a video on youtube of A Rod missing a pop up.  Coincidence?  I doubt it.

The play is a foul pop up from 2010.  What does it have to do with anything?

This is a move that Bud Selig would have approved and I guess the new guy is down with trolling players in the league too.  It's a little unprofessional isn't it?

But it's pretty much par for the course as far as American pro sports are concerned.

DeAngelo Williams Will Be Released

It looks like double trouble is officially coming to an end in Carolina.  Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams revealed that the team informed him last week that they would be releasing him.  Although double trouble has been over for a few years now with both Williams and the other half of the tandem, Jonathan Stewart, struggling to stay healthy, via WBTV:
"We sat down and he told me 'The fact of the matter is we're going to have to release you'," Williams told Molly Grantham during a sit down conversation. "I said you know, 'Why?' and he said, 'because we don't run the ball enough. Just like you said back before the season started, we don't run the ball enough to keep you and both [Jonathan Stewart], so we're going to release you'."
Stewart ran better down the stretch and into the playoffs for the Panthers and that's what might have sealed Williams fate.  Williams is the franchise leader in rushing and will be looking for a new team to call home in the upcoming season.

The Red Sox Bought Another Player

The Boston Red Sox bought 19 year old Cuban phenom Yoan Moncada.  The signing of the highly touted infielder will reportedly cost the Red Sox $80 million.

That can't be right because only the Yankees "buy" their players.  According to Red Sox fans anyway.  They have a hard time looking in the mirror or at any other team that spends money to put a decent product on the field.

Frank Mir Won A Fight, Finished Antonio Silva

Former UFC heavy weight champion, Frank Mir, is back in the win column.  Mir finished Antonio Silva at UFC Fight Night 61 over the weekend.  Mir had lost his 4 fights prior to the win over Silva.

I really think he was fighting to keep a spot in the UFC.  Dana White isn't afraid to bounce fighters for going on losing streaks.

Is Mir back?  We'll have to wait and see, but he finished this fight in impressive fashion and will likely get another opportunity to prove he can still fight.

Hangover Actor Hit On Knicks Sideline Reporter During Interview

A possibly drunk Justin Bartha of The Hangover movies got really flirty with Jill Martin, the Knicks sideline reporter.  By the end of the interview Bartha seemed to have invited Martin to have a threesome with himself and Bradley Cooper.

I'm pretty sure Bartha's wife isn't going to be thrilled about the interview either.  Even before the offered up threesome Bartha seemed to be flirting with the blonde reporter.

Martin didn't seem at all comfortable with Bartha's behavior and likely smelled the booze on him.

Niklas Hjalmarsson Took A Huge Shot To The Gut

Niklas Hjalmarsson thought it was a good idea to stand in front of a Zdeno Chara shot.  Something tells me that despite being dropped by the puck to the gut he didn't learn his lesson.

When you see how hard Chara's shot is and the fact that there was no way to get it passed Hjalmarsson, you have to believe a lesson is what he was attempting to deliver.

Kobe Bryant Denies Retirement Rumor On Grantland

Kobe Bryant was the guest for ESPN's The Grantland Basketball Hour and denied retirement rumors.  Host Bill Simmons asked Kobe about the retirement rumors and he denied them.

The Lakers hall of fame shooting guard said, "no that's not true."

Kyrie Irving Either Pulled Off One Of The Best Crossovers Or He Got Away With A Double Dribble

Kyrie Irving sure looks like he got away with a double dribble on what ended up in a pass and a basket.  The defender sure thought so and you know Irving isn't going to own up to it.

It will go down as one hell of a crossover.  A probable double dribble, but it got the job done.

LSU's Jarell Martin Got A Steal And Finished The Play With A Between The Legs Dunk

Jarell Martin threw down a between the legs dunk in a game.  In fact he did everything on the play.  Martin stole the pass and finished with the incredible dunk.

Kentucky Is Rolling And This Behind The Back Pass On A Fast Break Finished With A Style Dunk With Show You

Tyler Ulis made a great no look behind the back pass to Willie Cauley-Stein.  Cauley-Stein did his part by finishing with a stylish dunk.

Kentucky is absolutely rolling.  They destroyed Auburn 110-75.  They're now 27-0 and have a real shot of at the very least reaching the tournament undefeated.

Raiders GM Caught Sleeping At The NFL Combine

This short vine will show you everything you need to know about the Raiders.  This is Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie and it appears as if he's taking a little nap.

Maybe a group of players the Raiders aren't interested in were working out.  Or maybe the Raiders don't care.

Kobe Bryant Will Retire After Next Season

Kobe Bryant confirmed that next season would be his last season in the NBA.  As a player anyway.  The injured, aging shooting guard will complete his contract and retire.  Bryant of course has 25 million reasons to return next season, despite the last three seasons being cut short due to injury, the final year of his contract pays him $25 million.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bryant might be getting into directing when his playing days are over:

Now that he's 36, out due to injury and close to retirement, he says he'll play one more season and finish his two-year contract, which will net him $25 million. But his recent experience as the subject and executive producer of the intimate doc Kobe Bryant's Muse — produced by Gotham Chopra (Deepak's son) and airing Feb. 28 on Showtime — has opened up the possibility of a career behind the lens.
It's the perfect career choice for the perfectionist control freak.  Can't you see Kobe the director?  It makes perfect sense for a man who needs to be in control.

I guess the Kobe Bryant farewell tour will kickoff next season and another legendary chapter in the history of the NBA will be officially over.  Looks like he'll finish his hall of fame career with only 5 rings.

LeBron Used A Stiff Arm To Get To The Rim

LeBron James forgot he played in the NBA and not the NFL last night.  He threw a textbook stiff arm on Paul Pierce on his way to the basket.  At his size it's probably hard for him to forget that he's not a running back.

If You Do Nothing Else This Weekend You Must Look At This: Anastasia Ashley's Butt Ad

Surfer Anastasia Ashley has a commercial that features her butt.  It's officially her money maker.

What an ad it is too.  Nothing gets attention like a nice butt.

Enjoy, via Steakwood:

Now This Is A Vicious Hockey Hit

The New York Islanders beat the Nashville Predators 5-2 A couple of nights ago.  But the victory didn't come without a cost.

Islanders Mikhail Grabovski got knocked out cold from a shot to the head by Eric Nystrom of the Predators.  It's the type of hit that the NHL is trying to reduce.

This is what a vicious shot to the head looks like.

Kevin Love Did His Best Billy Hoyle Impression

That's right it's a White Men Can't Jump reference.  Kevin Love looked like he was jumping with weights on his ankles.

After making a nice shot fake and getting by his defender Love had a wide open path to the rim and blew it.  Even the scrubs on the Cavs bench found the miss amusing.

Jameis Winston Talks About People Thinking He's Fat At The NFL Combine

Jameis Winston addressed his "fat" picture.  The likely first round pick definitely doesn't lack confidence and his charisma was on full display during his interview at the NFL combine.

The young quarterback revealed he's planning on winning a Super Bowl next season and that he's not fat, he looks good and he knows it,

Now It's Official: Mayweather vs Pacquiao Is Happenening

The announcement finally came, Floyd Mayweather will finally fight Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd.  The deal has been signed and is still rumored to be the biggest fight in boxing history at $250 million split 60/40 Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Does it matter the fight is about 10 years late?  I doubt it.  People will still tune in.

Damian Lillard Can Rap

Damian Lillard dropped some rhymes off his dome on some show with Sway's stupid ass.  Who knew the Portland Trailblazer could also rap?

This isn't like Shaq's raps or any other athlete attempting music, Lillard has some actual skill.

Reggie Miller Admits He Just Makes Things Up

Reggie Miller was asked by Marv Albert if he just makes things up.  Miller, like most announcers does, and he actually admitted that he does.

If you expect the announcers to talk for an entire game they're bound to make something up.  It's hard to talk for an entire game with just facts.

I guess Marv wanted to call him on his bs.

Danica Patrick Is A Gangsta Bitch

Danica Patrick confronted Denny Hamlin following the second time Hamlin wrecked her in one week.  Danica was clearly holding back and trying not to snap and claw his eyes out.

Hamlin handled the situation pretty well and didn't try to provoke her.  It think it's a simple case of Hamlin pulling the girl's hair so she'll notice him.

Gotta love Danica's gangsta.

MLB Expected To Announce Pace Of Play Rules Changes

Bow tie aficionado and MLB analyst Ken Rosenthal announced on twitter that MLB will be introducing 3 new rule changes aimed at speeding up the game.  And no there is no pitch clock, yet.

Here are the 3 rules:

- Managers must challenge replays from dugout.

- Batters must keep one foot in box unless an established exception occurs.

- Play to resume promptly once broadcast returns from commercial break.

Looks like common sense stuff if you're trying to speed up the game.  I thought the second one was already a rule, they just aren't enforcing it currently.

Anyway this should help speed the game up for all the dumb younger fans who can't sit still for three hours.

DeAndre Jordan Tried And Failed To Dunk On Tim Duncan

DeAndre Jordan attempted to not only dunk on Tim Duncan, he attempted to jump over him.  Jordan failed in his attempt because Tim Duncan is a God damn wizard.

Jordan learned his lesson by landing hard on the floor.  Do not try to jump over a wizard.

Sidney Crosby Threw Hands In Pittsburgh

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby got into a little scrap with Brandon Dubinsky of the Rangers.  Lucky for Crosby it wasn't much of a hockey fight.  But he looked tough and got the crowd into it.

With his concussion history it was smart of Crosby to avoid any big shots.  You don't often see him in the middle of many fights and if he can avoid big shots and get the fans into it then mission accomplished.
