Donald Sterling's Supposed Apology Takes Aim at Magic Johnson

Donald Sterling did an interview with Anderson Cooper and was supposed to be apologizing for the comments recorded and released by his girlfriend, V. Stiviano. But instead Sterling seemed to glaze over and briefly apologize, he also took the opportunity to criticize NBA legend and former friend Magic Johnson.

Sterling criticized Johnson's work for minorities and his role as a role model to kids. He brought up his HIV and how many women he slept with. Sterling clearly to the opportunity to slam Johnson.

Magic Johnson is Elated that Mike D'Antoni Resigned

Magic Johnson let his feelings about the Mike D'Antoni resignation be known on twitter. Let's just say he's happy about it. As one of the more influential Lakers around some haven't been as happy with Magic's tweet.

Charles Barkley was one of those who wasn't thrilled with Magic's tweet and had this to say, via For The Win:

“Magic Johnson’s bigger than that. Magic Johnson’s bigger than that. Listen, Mike D’Antoni is a good coach. They didn’t give him a lot to work with. But Magic Johnson, he’s bigger than that.”

Charles makes a lot of sense with those comments. I'm siding with him on this one.

Oprah Joins Growing List of the Wealthy Interested in Buying Clippers

Oprah Winfrey is reportedly throwing her hat into those interested in buying the Clippers. She joins a growing list that includes Magic Johnson, Floyd Mayweather, Dr. Dre, Puff Daddy and Matt Damon to name a few.

Oprah buying the team as a woman of color and taking it away from an old white racist would be great. But aren't we forgetting someone in this whole thing? This isn't the first time Donald Sterling has been accused of racism. The tenants who live in his buildings have complained for years. The sale of the team needs to happen, but can we also get a bunch of rich athletes and celebrities together to help those living in his buildings get new places to live?

Magic Johnson is a Basketball Genius

Magic Johnson put his basketball genius on display last night in the form of a tweet. The former Lakers great and now part owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers actually tweeted the message below.

The only way San Antonio or Miami don't win the championship is if neither team makes the finals.

I'm pretty sure that's how the rest of the teams in the NBA won't win the finals either.
