Steve Sarkisian's Leave Of Absence Didn't Last Long
USC fired Steve Sarkisian on Monday, one day after he missed practice and was placed on a leave of absence due to issues with alcohol. It is probably the shortest leave of absence that has ever existed, via KSL.com:
"After careful consideration of what is in the best interest of the university and our student-athletes, I have made the decision to terminate Steve Sarkisian, effective immediately," Haden said in a statement.USC pretty much didn't have a choice. I mean you can't get drunk and not show for work after already having a strike against you due to another alcohol related incident.
"I want to add how proud I am of our coaching staff and players and the way they are responding to this difficult situation. Through all of this we remain concerned for Steve and hope that it will give him the opportunity to focus on his personal well-being."

Steve Sarkisian Missed Practice This Morning Put On Leave Of Absence
It turns out USC head coach Steve Sarkisian does have a drinking problem. I think we all knew that after the Salute To Troy event and subsequent press conference where he denied having a drinking problem.
Sarkisian failed to show for the team's practice this morning and was placed on a leave of absence by athletic director Pat Haden.
What do you have to do to get fired by Haden? I need to see if I can get a job working for him.

Josh Shaw's Hero Story Might be Fake
Josh Shaw, USC's recently elected team captain, has an unreal excuse for how he injured both of his ankles. His original claims that he jumped off of a second floor balcony to save a nephew from drowning might be a fake.
Shaw has been mentioned in a police report, stating that a man fitting his description was scaling a wall of a third floor apartment building, where his girlfriend lives. It has also been rumored that he was leaving his girlfriend's apartment after a possible domestic incident.
