Rumors are swirling that Trent Dilfer could be leaving ESPN.  There has been a steady stream of "talent" leaving the network recently and the former NFL quarterback could be the latest.

I guess Trent Dilfer didn't see Chip Kelly run the Eagles into the ground in just three years.

Sure Kelly had GM resposibilities as well in Philly, but he also had no idea how to use the previous year's leading rusher.  On top of all that the 49ers are a terrible team.

I guess the only positive thing this time around is that Kelly won't be the GM, making all those Madden moves.

The Cowboys beat the Redskins on Monday night, because it wouldn't be the NFC East if they didn't.  With the Cowboys win they move into second place at 4-8 in the division, which also happens to be last.

I know there are tie breakers that make it a little more complicated than that.  But the bottom line is Dallas is a game back and the NFC East is wide open.

Unfortunately that gives Cowboys fans hope and whenever there is hope there is Jerry Jones trying to keep it alive.

The NFC East is terrible and I think poets Trent Dilfer and Ray Lewis said it best, "it's who can be the least bad."

And, "bottom line somebody is gonna win the division."  Bottom line indeed.

ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer thinks the Broncos and the Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl.  But not just the Broncos, a Peyton Manning led Broncos team.

I'm not even going to get into the disrespect and hatred Dilfer has towards the Patriots.

What is even more ridiculous to me is the thought that the Cardinals are going to be the team from the NFC.  What about the Cardinals makes you think they're going to do anything in the playoffs?

Is it their loss to the 4-7 Rams?  Or maybe the loss to the 6-5 Steelers.  Hell it could even be the 6 point win over the 3-8 49ers from this past weekend.

Trent the Cardinals are not the best team in the NFC, the undefeated Panthers are.

Sports agent David Dunn was a guest on Colin Cowherd's show yesterday, when he revealed that Trent Dilfer once told him elite quarterbacks have big butts.  That's right, according to Dilfer's study of quarterbacks elite quarterbacks have one thing in common, big butts.

Why the size of their butts was a part of Dilfer's study is anyone's guess.

It's this type of important work that he does that sets him apart as a top notch ESPN NFL analyst.  I hope they're paying him top dollar, because you don't want a guy like Dilfer to get away.

Daniel Tosh, a Dolphins fan, went after the Patriots last night on Tosh.0.  His first show back since the Super Bowl.

Tosh didn't hold back at all he called Tom Brady a game manager, Trent Dilfer with hair plugs and even attacked Brady's model wife, who he called a horse.  That's just a sample of the hate he spewed the Patriots way.

He managed to get in an Aaron Hernandez joke and more.  He's clearly a bitter Dolphins fan and it's hilarious.

Following the Patriots 41-14 loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City week 4, both Donovan McNabb and Trent Dilfer trashed Tom Brady and the Patriots.  They both clearly overreacted.

McNabb predicted that this would be Brady's last season as a Patriot and he would be benched during the season:

I think the only thing we learned was that these two are bitter retired quarterbacks who don't like Brady or the Patriots.  And they're both terrible football analysts.

I often wonder why networks hire former players as NFL analysts. Can't people that know the game provide proper analysis?

Trent Dilfer answered the question for me and I'll never doubt the networks and their hiring of former players again.  Dilfer has done the impossible, he's revealed the secret to winning.

Trent Dilfer and Chris Berman praised the Ravens and the NFL for th handling of the Ray Rice incident.  No they really did you can watch it at Coach's Rant.  The duo did so on the second Monday Night Football game last night.

They did so, despite the growing speculation behind the fact that the Ravens and the NFL, either didn't want to, or worse viewed the elevator video of Rice koing his now wife and still gave him support and a slap on the wrist.
