The Bulls Killed The Bucks In Game 6 On The Scoreboard

The Bulls destroyed the Bucks 120-66 in game 6.  I say on the scoreboard because Giannis Antetokounmpo put an NFL style hit on Mike Dunleavy.

Dunleavy wasn't without some fault.  He did start throwing hands first.  Not that he deserved the type of shot he received, but the Bucks had nothing to lose.

Somehow the Bucks managed to not score 20 points in any quarter.  Pretty ugle playoff loss.

Tampa Bay Drafted Jameis Winston With The First Pick In The 2015 Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Jameis Winston with the first pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.  Not really a surprise it was going to be a quarterback it was just a matter of which one.

Tampa Bay fans seem to be happy.

Billy Donovan Is Leaving Florida For The OKC Job

Billy Donovan's time in Florida is over.  The Gators head basketball coach is heading to the NBA after agreeing to a multi-year deal with the Thunder.

Interesting move for OKC, but not a real surprise.

Brett Favre Picked Pacquiao And Mayweather To Win This Weekend

Brett Favre announced his pick for this weekend's Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.  He managed to pick both boxers to win.  You tell me CTE isn't real.

Favre made a video post for Sqor, pimping some sort of giveaway, but also revealing his pick.  In the video he picked Pacquiao and in his post he picked Mayweather.

Way to go Brett!

2015 NFL Draft from Archer Avenue

Check out more from me, including movie reviews & movie trailers, at Archer Avenue (archeravenue.net).  Also, follow me on Twitter @OlieCoen for sports & movie talk.

Football is almost here!  It’s just a matter of time before the season begins.  The first step was Free Agency, the second was the schedule.  And now the Draft!  This Thursday @ 8:00 pm the 1st Round of the Draft will be on in prime time and I’ll be glued to the television.  This is a very interesting draft class and it’s hard to predict who each team will pick, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun trying.  So, based on the opinions of experts and my own uneducated musings (and barring any draft spot trades) here it is, Olie’s 2015 Mock Draft:

Chris Davis Gave Away Souvenirs To Imaginary Fans During The Fanless Game

Chris Davis and some of his Orioles teammates had a little fun with the fanless game.  Signing fake autographs, waving to imaginary fans and of course handing out souvenirs.

Davis seemed to enjoy throwing balls into the stands, making the stadium workers pick them up.

James Franklin Gave A Walk On A Scholarship

Penn State head football coach, James Franklin, surprised walk on linebacker Von Walker with a scholarship.  According to Franklin he didn't give Walker shit, he earned it.

It's a pretty good moment when a walk on earns a scholarship.  It proves hard work pays off at Penn State.

Alcides Escobar Was Hit In The Face With A Fastball

Alcides Escobar took a 96 mph fastball to the face.  Obviously it knocked him to the ground.

Pitcher Danny Salazar was concerned right after it happened so there was clearly no intent.  Escobar has been in the middle of things this year and was injured when he was slid into at second.

This Is What A Professional Baseball Game Looks Like With Nobody In Attendance

Remember Montreal Expos games back in the day?   It kind of looks like that.  Due to the rioting in Baltimore the, White Sox-Orioles game in Baltimore was played without fans.  They didn't want to put fans in harms way if rioting broke out around the stadium as it did a few days ago.

Thank God Boomer Esiason Weighed In On The Baltimore Riots

Boomer Esiason and his side kick, Craig Carton, weighed in on the Baltimore riots and thank God they did.  Right before Boomer said he didn't care is baseball was played, that getting control of the city was more important, the two talked about the game that is supposed to be played in an empty stadium today.

He also wondered aloud what they would do about the Preakness, which is only a couple of weeks away.

How about we get to the root of why people are rioting?  If you truly don't care about these sporting events.

DeAndre Jordan's Offensive Basket Interference Handed San Antonio Game 5

With seconds left in game 5 between the Spurs and Clippers, DeAndre Jordan was called for offensive basket interference on a shot that would have given the Clippers a one point lead.  The play sealed the Clippers fate and the Spurs now have a 3-2 lead in the series.

Some are saying it shouldn't have been called, but Jordan clearly touched the ball while it's inside of the rim.  It's against the rules.  You have to make that call.

Jordan should have waited for the ball to pop out, if it was going to.  He made a mistake that cost the Clippers game 5, assuming they would have kept the Spurs from scoring.

Jon Jones Has UFC Light Heavyweight Belt Stripped And Is Suspended By The UFC

Jon Jones is the only man who could take his belt away.  Following his arrest for felony hit and run the UFC stripped his light heavyweight title and suspended him indefinitely.

UFC 187 will continue as planned with Daniel Cormier stepping in to face Anthony Johnson for the vacant title.  It is the first time a champ has been stripped of their title for disciplinary reasons.

Diamondbacks Pitcher Archie Bradley Took A Line Drive Off Of The Face

Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley took a line drive to the face off of the bat of Carlos Gonzalez.  I know that nobody wants to talk about it but look at how Bradley finishes delivering the pitch.  He's in no position to field.  In fact Bradley is off balance with his glove almost behind him when he releases the ball.

Will pitchers still get hit if they're in fielding position after releasing the baseball?  Absolutely.  But I think it will be even fewer and more far between than it is now.

Masahiro Tanaka Is Headed To The 15 Day Disabled List

Yankees right hander Masahiro Tanaka will be placed on the 15 Day disabled list with wrist and forearm injuries.  This is not good news if you're a Yankee fan and I am.  While there has been no change in the tear in his elbow these injuries are possible precursors to Tommy John surgery.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope not, but it doesn't look good.

Ray Lewis Has A Message For The Baltimore Rioters

Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis released a passionate video message to the Baltimore rioters.  Basically he's urging the rioters to stop destroying the city and go home.

Easier said than done.

Peaceful protesting hasn't gotten the message across.  Not that I'm supporting rioting and looting, but sometimes you need to make a statement.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones Turned Himself In Last Night

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones turned himself in to police last night in New Mexico.  He was booked and released after posting the $2,500 bail at 10 p.m. local time.

Jones has been charged with a felony- leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injuries.

According to MMA Fighting, Jones' May 23rd title defense at UFC 187 has not yet been cancelled.

Petr Mrazek Made One Hell Of A Stick Save

Detroit Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek made one hell of a stick save last night.  It's probably one of the better stick saves you'll ever see.

While it was a pretty good save it reminds me of an outfielder who gets a bad jump or takes a bad route and has to make a diving catch.  Sure it was a nice play but he was out of position from the start.

Either way it wasn't Detroit's night.  Tampa Bay won the game 5-2 to force a game 7.

Britt McHenry Returned From Suspension, Asked For A Second Chance

Britt McHenry is back from her suspension, doing what she does.  The ESPN sideline reporter asked for a second chance on TwitLonger and of course she's going to get one.  Not only do we love to give people a second chance, we love beautiful women.

Kevin Love Has Been Ruled Out Of The Entire Second Round Of The Playoffs

Kevin Love has been ruled out for the entire second round of the playoffs due to his injuries from his dislocated shoulder.  He could miss even more time.

Can LeBron James and Kyrie Irving get it done without Love?  I certainly think they can.  But they will also be without J.R. Smith for the first two games of the second round.  The NBA announced Smith will be suspended for the first two games for his spinning backfist against the Celtics.

Get ready for the LeBron and Kyrie show.

The Caps Won Game 7 And Reinvented Goal Celebrations

The Capitals won game 7 against the Islanders by the score of 2-1.  In the process Alex Ovechkin and his Caps teammates reinvented the goal celebration.

They jumped around like a bunch of frogs after the first goal of the game.  Look at how high Ovechkin gets on his jump.

Paul Pierce And The Wizards Are Supporting The Caps

Paul Pierce and his Wizards teammates scored some pretty nice tickets to the Islanders-Capitals playoff game.  They were clearly supporting the Caps and Pierce was even spotted smacking the glass.

Marijuana Found In Rental Car Registered To Jon Jones

According to a report obtained by TMZ, a rental car registered to Jon Jones was at the scene of the earlier reported hit and run accident, and contained marijuana.  The report also says there are eyewitnesses who saw Jones flee the scene.
TMZ Sports has obtained the police report ... in which cops say witnesses saw a man believed to be the UFC champ run from the crash scene moments after slamming into a car carrying a pregnant woman.

One witness says Jones got out of his silver Buick and ran into the hills -- before slouching over and darting back to the car to grab a "large handful of cash."

After that, witnesses say Jones jumped a nearby fence and ran off.
Not looking good for the UFC Champ.  The story is still coming together so we'll have to wait for all the details.

High School Kid Caught A Fastball Headed For His Head In His Most Memorable At Bat

This high school kid will probably never forget this at bat.  Not because he hit a home run or did anything spectacular.

No he'll remember this as the at bat when he caught a fastball heading for his head.  I guess he wasn't very hard, but it's still damn impressive.

Rick Carlisle Doesn't Want Anymore Fines

After the Mavericks avoided a sweep on Sunday, head coach Rick Carlisle pulled out some tape for his mouth.  He wanted to avoid another 25k in fines.

Carlisle was fined the 25k for his comments about the officials on Friday night.  Do what you have to do to avoid throwing your money away.

Jon Jones Is A Suspect In A Hit And Run

UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon "Bones" Jones is now a suspect in a hit and run car accident that left a pregnant woman injured.  Rumors that Jones had been arrested and busted with cocaine are not true.  It also appears as of right now his UFC 187 fight is still on.

According to TMZ Sports Jones is wanted by the Albuquerque police department for questioning:
A rep for the APD says ... Jon is "wanted for questioning" in regards to a crash that occurred this morning in New Mexico. The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The UFC has remained silent on the incident.  Hopefully Jones was not the one behind the wheel and hopefully he has not slipped back into drug and alcohol abuse.

Alex Gordon Made A Great Catch Jumping Into The Seats

Alex Gordon ended up in the seats in Chicago as he made an unreal catch on a foul ball.  The Royals left fielder made a long run and avoided nailing the kid in the process.

Not a bad play, I know his pitcher is happy with the effort.

J.R. Smith Ejected For Spinning Backfist On Jae Crowder

The Celtics-Cavs playoff game 4 has become a street game.  It started when Kelly Olynyk pulled Kevin Love's arm out of socket and continued from there.

Jae Crowder then was screened into the ground by Kendrick Perkins.  The two teams made it to half without further incident.

That was not the case in the 3rd quarter.

Crowder was back in it when he got into a shoving match with J.R. Smith.  Smith did his best MMA impression and dropped Crowder with a punch to the chin.

As he fell Crowder sprained his knee on top of likely suffering some sort of head injury.

Kevin Love Dislocated His Shoulder Against The Celtics

Kevin Love was fighting for a loose ball when his shoulder was pulled out of socket by Kelly Olynyk.  Looked like a pretty dirty play by Olynyk as he really pulled hard on Love's arm.

I doubt he was trying to hurt him but that's what happened.  It wasn't needed.  The Cavs are going to move on so hopefully the injury isn't too bad and Love can contribute in the upcoming games.

"The World's Greatest Athlete" Is A Woman Trapped In A Man's Body

Bruce Jenner, an Olympic hero, revealed last night in an interview with Diane Sawyer that he is becoming a woman.  The World's Greatest Athlete, as he was called after his Olympic heroics, is a woman trapped in man's body.

It was a revealing look into Jenner's lifetime gender identity struggle and all I could think was, "what the hell is wrong with his left eye?"

He's clearly had more work on his face and the eye twitch must be some sort of side effect.

End The NBA Playoffs Right Now, LeBron Is Making Full Court Shots Now

LeBron James made a full court shot at the Cavs practice.  When you see how he just grabbed a basketball and threw it the length of the court you'll agree with me, end the playoffs and just give the Cavs the championship.

How in the world do you stop this?

The Rangers Are Trying To Trade For Josh Hamilton

Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton is at odds with his current team and hasn't played this season as he rehabs his shoulder.  One of his former teams, the Rangers, is reportedly interested in bringing him back.

It's been a rough off season for the former MVP.

In addition to being at odds with the Angels, Hamilton admitted to MLB earlier this year that he suffered a relapse of drugs and alcohol.  He also filed for divorce.

Stephen A. Smith Had A Problem With Tom Brady Skipping The Patriots White House Visit

Stephen A. Smith had a problem with Tom Brady skipping the Patriots White House visit.  He suggested the issue wasn't that Brady had something else to do, as Brady said, but the fact that Barack Obama is the President.

I'm not sure if he was saying Brady is a republican or a racist.  I'm sure Brady isn't the first guy to skip the White House visit after a Super Bowl victory and I'm sure he won't be the last guy.

ESPN really needs to take a long look at Stephen A.

Tony Romo Predicted A Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Win

Tony Romo gave a speech somewhere because they gave him a lifetime achievement award.  I guess playing football is worthy of a lifetime achievement award now.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback took the opportunity to predict a Cowboys Super Bowl victory.  Probably not the smartest move.  Because bloggers like me will burn him down if they don't win it.

This Hannah Davis And Her Horse Behind The Scenes Video Just Made My Day

Beautiful and funny?  Is there a better combination?  I highly doubt it.

Hannah Davis and her horse are taking over my TV and my internet.  I'm not complaining at all.  Brilliant move DirecTV.

This behind the scenes look at Hannah and her horse is a little funny, but more importantly features Hannah in a bikini, via Terez Owens:

Grant Hill Got Nailed In The Back Of The Head Trying To Enjoy His Halftime Snack

Grant Hill was accidentally hit in the back of the head by a fan during halftime of the Bulls game.  At least I think it was accidental.

Hill was attempting to enjoy a litte snack at the same moment the dude walking by was trying to find his seat.  The result is pretty funny.

Pelicans Fan Supported His Team With The Unibra

This dude looks like he's into some weird stuff.  I'm not sure why he decided a unibra was better than a unibrow, but he went with it.  Can't really knock him if his goal was to be on TV because he accomplished that much.  Something tells me this isn't the first time he's done this.

Stephen Curry Nailed A Three To Force Overtime

Stephen Curry hit a clutch three as time was running out to force overtime.  In overtime the Warriors were able to complete the comeback and take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Does this solidify Curry as league MVP?  He has been clutch all season.  He had 40 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds in the win.

Yordano Ventura Cleared The Benches Again

Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura caused the benches to clear for the third time this season.  This time he took issue with a comebacker off of the bat of Adam Eaton.

Ventura fielded the ball, stared at Eaton and threw an F bomb his way.  As you'd expect the White Sox weren't fans and the benches cleared.

Ventura is asking for trouble, if he keeps it up he'll find it.

Bartolo Colon Ran Down A Base Runner

Who said Bartolo Colon wasn't a good athlete?  Sure he's fat but dude can still move.  Watch him pick off A.J. Pierzynski.

Sure Pierzynski isn't the fastest runner in the world.  But it's hard to think that Colon would be able to catch him if they were to race.

Colon showed off his big man athletic ability.

2015 NFL Schedule from Archer Avenue

Check out more from me, including movie reviews & movie trailers, at Archer Avenue (archeravenue.net).  Also, follow me on Twitter @OlieCoen for sports & movie talk.

The NFL schedule was released for the 2015 season, and there are so many marquee matchups that I might not be able to stand it.  The Broncos, who are of course my team, have a very entertaining schedule, as does seemingly every club in the league.  With the Draft coming up in one week and preseason just around the corner, I’m starting to get excited for what should be another excellent NFL season.  Check out NFL.com/schedules for a complete run-down, but here are a few of the meetings that I am most anticipating:

College Kid Made 96 Out Of 100 Three Pointers And It's All On Video

UC Irvine freshman Haroldas Saprykinas made 96 of 100 three pointers and it's all on tape.  So take that Stephen Curry.

Curry reportedly made 77 straight three pointers and 94 out of 100.  But there isn't any video evidence, so did it happen?

I don't know if this proves it's not as hard as we all think it is or Saprykinas is one hell of a shooter.

Torii Hunter Tried To Steal Home

Torii Hunter attempted a steal of home with the bases loaded and two outs.  Not a smart move.

It didn't end well for the 39 year old.  First off it didn't fool anybody and he's clearly not as fast as he thinks he is.

It's not even close.

Nets Forward Mirza Teletovic Checked His Shoe In The Middle Of A Play

Mirza Teletovic turned the ball over then checked his shoe instead of playing any defense.  The play pretty much sums up why the Nets won't be moving past the first round.

Maybe Teletovic has those new pump up jams and was just putting a little air in.  I highly doubt that is what happened.

Scott Brooks Was Fired By The Thunder

Thunder GM Sam Presti addressed the firing of Scott Brooks.  Presti claims this season's results played no part in deciding to fire Brooks.

Do you believe if the Thunder made the playoffs they would fire Brooks after the season?  He was one game away from the playoffs without Kevin Durant for most of the year.

The NFL Has Suspended Greg Hardy For 10 Games

New Cowboy Greg Hardy missed all but one game last season on the commissioner's exempt list, while a member of the Carolina Panthers.  The NFL announced today that he will miss an additional ten games in the upcoming season.

I'm not sure what happened to the punishment they setup for domestic violence, but this is more than the six games for your first incident.

The lucky lady seemed to enjoy herself as did Watt.

Jameis Winston Finally Explained The Crab Leg Incident

Jameis Winston sat down with Michigan head coach and former NFL head coach Jim Harbaugh to learn the NFL interview process.  He finally came clean about the crab leg shoplifting incident.

It turns out there is a perfectly good reason he didn't pay for the crab legs.  He had a hookup, which of course is a NCAA violation and one he couldn't reveal until after he left Florida State.

This story makes a lot more sense than Winston just stealing the crab legs.  Sounds like whoever in the Publix turned him in wasn't a fan of his hookup, via BSO:

Jay Feely Called Tim Tebow "The Worst Quarterback I Ever Saw"

38 year old free agent kicker Jay Feely trashed Tim Tebow on Jim Rome.  He said Tebow, "was the worst quarterback I ever saw."

Feely then went on to explain what routes on air is and claimed he and Rome coukd complete more passes than Tebow.

I think Feely is a little salty that Tebow is on a roster and he isn't.

Jose Bautista Is A Good Sport

During last night's Orioles-Blue Jays game things got a little heated.  It started when a pitch went behind Jose Bautista.  Yeah behind him, it didn't hit him but of course he was upset about it.

Boo hoo he almost hit me.  Bautista homered later in the at bat and stood and watched like a jackass.

Adam Jones wasn't a fan of his antics and let him know between innings as the two had a heated exchange.

Reggie Miller Not Knowing What A Pun Is Just Made My Day

We often find out a lot about athletes when they stop playing and start announcing.  We learned during last night's Pelicans-Warriors game that Reggie Miller has no idea what a pun is.

I can't stop watching this video of him messing it up, via Barstool Sports:

Lindsey Vonn Hates Golf Too

Lindsey Vonn was a guest on whatever late night talk show Seth Meyers is hosting when she revealed that she isn't a huge golf fan.  She didn't come out and say the words, but she gave off that I hate golf vibe.

She did so while putting on a pretty nice leg show as well.  I mean how lucky is Tiger Woods?  He bounces back from cheating on his model wife with porn stars and lands a hot blonde athlete.

What happened to karma?

Erin Andrews Took A Shot At Her Boyfriend On DWTS

Erin Andrews took a clear shot at her boyfriend Jarret Stoll on Dancing With The Stars last night.  During an interview with one of the "stars" it was revealed that they take it easy during spring break.  Andrews took the opportunity to be that upset girlfriend for a minute and said that some people could learn from them.

She of course was referencing her boyfriend's arrest for possession of molly and an eight ball.

The Video From Warren Sapp's Arrest Has Been Released

TMZ Sports got their hands on and of course posted the video from Warren Sapp's hooker arrest.  As you'd expect Sapp keeps it 100, making the video a piece of internet gold.

This will easily be the best video you watch all day.  Sapp describes how he found himself in a hotel room with two hookers and in his words what happened.

Reds Manager Lost His Mind On The Media

Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price lost his freaking mind on the media.  He wasn't happy that a reporter asked about one of his players and went off.

This will rank up there with some of the other classic coach and manager hissy fits of all time.  Price went on a mostly profane tirade for a good 5 minutes.

Instant classic.

A Woman At PNC Park Was Hit In The Back Of Thr Head By A Foul Ball

Fans getting hit with foul balls at baseball games happens all the time.  What doesn't happen is someone behind the plate getting hit.  That's because there is a net that prevents it from happening.

Last night it did happen.  Lured into a false sense of security by the net, a woman turned her back to field as she made her way to her seat.

At that very moment a foul ball was hit straight back into the net and with the give of the net the ball hit the woman in the head, knocking her to the ground.

She did seem to be okay as she was removed via a stretcher from the stadium.

ESPN Is Loving The Tim Tebow Signing

Get ready it's going to be Tim Tebow non stop especially if he makes the team.  ESPN is already losing their minds over the 1 year deal Tebow agreed to with the Eagles.  They had a jam packed Tebow Sports Center complete with helmets and a Johnny Manziel mention for good measure, via Barstool Sports:

Lehigh Baseball Player Got Posterized During Post Game Interview

I really hope this replaces the pie in the face as a post game interview celebration.  Posterizations are always awesome add them to a post game interview and you have internet gold.

I think a major league team did this a few days ago as well.  So there is a real chance this will continue to spread.  All you can do is smile and enjoy it.

The Dallas Cowboys Have Real Balls According To Tony Romo

Tony Romo was at the ACM Awards and for some reason he had to throw a pass.  After completing the pass to some country singer Blake Shelton asked Romo if it was one of those deflated balls.

Romo responded to the question by saying, "the Dallas Cowboys have real balls."  A corny joke indeed.  But as I recall the Cowboys were watching the Super Bowl this year and not playing in it.

I Think It's Safe To Say Aron Baynes Can't Guard Blake Griffin

The Spurs are going to have to figure out how to stop Blake Griffin.  That or they won't advance.  Aron Baynes isn't the answer.

Griffin dunked on Baynes not once, not twice, but three times.  Griffin had 26 points and 12 rebounds in the 107-92 game 1 win over the Spurs.

Jon Lester Did The Throw My Glove To First Base Play

Jon Lester snagged a comebacker and had to throw his glove to first base because the ball was stuck.  The WGN guys lost their mind calling it, "the smartest play in the history of baseball."

Probably a little bit of an overstatement on their part.  It was a good play and Anthony Rizzo taking his glove off to catch the glove was a good idea.

The smartest play ever?  I'm not to sure about that.

David Ortiz Was Ejected For Arguing A Check Swing

David Ortiz was ejected for arguing with the third base umpire.  Ortiz had an issue with a check swing that the third base umpire said he went around on.

Ortiz forgot how baseball works.  He's the player and the umpires make the calls not him.  So he was sent to the showers early.

The Eagles Are Going To Sign Tim Tebow

Jay Glazer is reporting that the Eagles will sign Tim Tebow tomorrow.  That's right Tebow is getting another shot at the NFL.

The the Tebow circus resume.  I hope Philly is ready for Tebowmania.

Bryce Harper And His Massive Forearms Hit A Bomb 461 Feet

At 22 years old Bryce Harper is still learning the game of baseball at the major league level.  If he can stay healthy we'll probably see more deep home runs like this from the Nationals outfielder.

Harper has spent the last two off seasons bulking up and this year has some Popeye like forearms.  They definitely helped him hit this 461 foot bomb to tie the game at 3.

Yordano Ventura Thinks He's A Tough Guy

Yordano Ventura either thinks he's tough or has faith in his teammates ability to protect him.  I'm betting the 5'11' 180 pound pitcher thinks he's a tough guy.  He first attempted to get frisky with Mike Trout last week and yesterday he hit Brett Lawrie with a pitch.  Because Lawrie slid too hard into the Royals shortstop the night before and hurt him.

What Lawrie did was part of the game.  It's on the guys at second base to get out of the way.  Ventura retaliated, after Oakland was up 5-0, with a 99 mph fastball to Lawrie's ribs.  Of course the benches cleared and they all had a nice talk about it.

Ventura was tossed and the game resumed.

The bigger issue to me is Ventura being the guy in both bench clearing incidents the Royals have had this season.  He's going to run across the wrong guy and he'll find out just how tough he is.

Pirates Ball Girl Made A Nice Catch On A Line Drive

Who said ball girls and ball boys were useless?  The Pirates ball girl made a great catch on a line drive and might have saved an old man's life.

The catch sure had the Pirates announcers excited.  For some reason they knew her name too.

Cubs Chick Catches Foul Ball In Her Beer Does The Logical Thing And Chugs Beer

It's just another sign that this is the Cubs year.  You've got Back To The Future predictions, Kris Bryant April call up and now a chick catching a foul ball in her beer.

I think it's officially destiny.  It's no longer in our hands.  Let's just not even play the season out.  Give the Cubbies the World Series victory right now, via BroBible:

Erin Andrews Boyfriend And NHL Player Jarret Stoll Was Arrested For Possession of Cocaine And Ecstasy

According to TMZ, Jarret Stoll of the LA Kings and boyfriend of host and sports reporter Erin Andrews, was busted at a Las Vegas party for possession of cocaine and ecstasy.
L.A. Kings superstar Jarret Stoll -- boyfriend of Erin Andrews -- was arrested in Vegas on suspicion on drug possession ... for allegedly bringing cocaine and ecstasy to a Vegas pool party.

According to local reports, 32-year-old Stoll was busted Friday at the Wet Republic pool party at the MGM Grand.
It's not a good week to be a sideline reporter.  First the Britt McHenry tow truck fun and now a boyfriend of one of the top sideline reporters in the business is busted for drugs.  You have to figure Andrews is aware of his drug use.  Cocaine and ecstasy use aren't the easiest things to conceal from ones partner.

Is This Delivery Legal?

Marlins pitcher Carter Capps made a splash earlier this week when the Marlins called the right hander up and he pitched in a game.  The splash was this odd ass delivery.

He literally jumps a full two feet down the mound before delivering a pitch.  It's gotta be illegal right?  Maybe?

There are contradicting reports about whether or not Capps has a legal delivery.  Peter Gammons had a bit of a stroke when he tweeted out about Matt Capps instead of Carter.  But he said the delivery was illegal:

Then Ken Rosenthal took to twitter and made things even more unclear by tweeting that some of Capps pitches were illegal, but not all of them:

Lucky for all of us Capps was sent back to the minors and we won't have to worry about whether his pitches are legal or not until he gets called up again.  Hopefully by then we'll have a clear answer.

My opinion is it should be illegal.  His motion isn't taking him that far from the rubber naturally, he's clearly jumping and attempting to gain an advantage.

Dana White Said Any UFC Fighter Would Beat Floyd Mayweather

White also revealed he will be in attendance for next month's mega fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Johnny Manziel Released A Post Rehab Statement

Johnny Rehab released a statement following his two month stint in rehab.  In the statement Manziel thanks his friends, family and teammates for their support, via Cleveland Browns:
"I would like to thank my family, friends, the Browns organization, my teammates, and Browns fans everywhere, for your patience, understanding, and support during my stay at Caron. The doctors and staff have been amazing and what I’ve learned in the last couple of months has been tremendous. I owe private apologies to a lot of people that I disappointed but a very public one to the Browns organization and the fans that I let down. I take full responsibility for my actions and it’s my intention to work very hard to regain everyone’s trust and respect. I understand that will take time and will only happen through what I do and not what I say. I also understand there’s a lot of curiosity about this but anyone who has a friend or family-member that’s been through things like this knows it’s an ongoing process. I’m going to continue to ask folks to try to respect my privacy as I determine to what degree I am comfortable talking about a subject which I consider very personal. Most of you have been considerate about that and I thank you for it. I look forward to seeing my teammates next week and focusing on football and my desire to be the best possible player, teammate, and man that I can be.”
This entire situation with Johnny Manziel was predicted prior to the draft last season.  Both his off the field issues and his on the field preparation and he was still drafted as high as he was.  Is he ready to put the work in?  Can he be successful in the NFL?

We'll have to wait and see.  This is a good start for him if he truly wants to get healthy and be the best that he can on and off the field.  But we've seen this before with other players.

Thank God Boomer Esiason Weighed In On The Britt McHenry Story

Finally a voice of reason in the Britt McHenry trashing a tow truck employee scandal.  That is right Boomer Esiason has added his opinion and it's gold.

Esiason keeps it very, very simple.  He simply asked, "was she not on her pills?"

Hey maybe Boomer knows something about McHenry's personal life that we don't, but something tells me he just thinks she's crazy, via Bob's Blitz:

Golf Spectator Loses His Hat In The Water, So Of Course He Went In After It

During a Paula Creamer putt a golf spectator went into the water to get his stupid hat.  It is spectator and not fan right?

Golf fan just sounds stupid.

Anyway the idiot made three big mistakes during the putt.  First he went in after the dumb hat, second he did so during Paula's putt and finally he didn't leave the beer on the side of the water.

Creamer tops the whole video off with a weak ass putt on top of it all.  The only thing that wasn't a failure were her legs.  They're awesome.

The Check Swing Bat Flip Is Taking The Bat Flip Game To Another Level

I'm personally not a fan of the bat flip, especially for anything that isn't a home run.  But I get its appeal and if you don't want a hitter to do it when they hit a bomb then don't give up the bomb.

That said I can't help myself.  I'm really enjoying the check swing bat flip.  It could be because the bat went flying toward the umpire.  And umpires suck.

Jameis Winston's Rape Accuser Filed A Lawsuit Against Him

As the NFL Draft approaches Jameis Winston's past is following him.  The likely top 5 pick had a lawsuit filed against him on Thursday by his rape accuser Erica Kinsman, via CNN:
Kinsman has said Winston raped her in December 2012. A prosecutor decided against bringing criminal charges in the case.

In the lawsuit filed Thursday, Kinsman alleges sexual battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The timing of the lawsuit is a little strange.. I'm not claiming to know what happened that night, only the two people involved know, but once there were not charges filed why not sue then?

As Expected Britt McHenry Has Been Suspended By ESPN

You knew this was coming.  ESPN has suspended Britt McHenry for one week.  The one week suspension has pretty much been the standard response by ESPN whenever they feel one of their employees has stepped over some sort of boundary.

Keith Olbermann and Stephen A. Smith have both received similar suspensions in the not to distant past.  Bill Simmons was suspended for three weeks back in September last year.

Also as expected she issued an apology.  Missing from the apology was any mention of the employee who took the brunt of McHenry's insults.

The NFL Reinstated Adrian Peterson

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been reinstated by the NFL.  He will not face any further punishment.  Essentially he was suspended with pay last season for child abuse.

The focus now turns to whether or not the Cowboys will be able to get Peterson away from the Vikings before the season.

Britt McHenry Trashed A Tow Truck Employee And Now I'm Even More In Love

Britt McHenry absolutely trashed this tow truck employee.  She covered everything from her education to her weight and it was all caught on camera.

I have to admit I'm even more in love than I used to be.  Something tells me ESPN isn't going to be as understanding as I am.

I fear we have a suspension of one of their rising stars coming.  Check it out it is must see entertainment, via Barstool Sports:
