There is no Giants bullpen to bail the Cubs out in this round.  And they might as well be swinging toothpicks.  They look terrible at the plate right now.

Umpire Jim Wolf punched out Anthony Rizzo on what he called strike two.  A terrible call by the way.  Rizzo ended up working a walk.

Is Anthony Rizzo for real with this?  He was spotted practicing his bat flip on the field yesterday.

The only thing that would have made it worth watching is if the bat would have come down and hit him in the head.  That would have been great.

The Cardinals hit Anthony Rizzo on the back of his leg after Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday was hit in the head and the Cubs manager is the one crying after the game.

It started when Rizzo, the MLB leader in hit by pitch, was hit by a pitch.  The Cubs then hit Holliday and Rizzo was hit again.

Joe Maddon went on a post game rant about the Cardinals book and how the Cubs don't start stuff they end it.  A bunch of garbage from a cry baby.

How your team hit someone in the head and you're the one pissed off after the game is beyond me.  Of course the Cubs claim that the pitcher didn't mean to hit Holliday.

For starters you can't admit that you intentionally hit someone with a pitch.  Not to mention the fact that a major league caliber pitcher hardly ever misses their spot that badly.

Did he mean to hit him in the head?  Probably not.  Did he mean to hit him?  I say he absolutely did.

Madden needs to take his tough guy act somewhere else.  You can cry about it and be the tough guy.

Anthony Rizzo hopped on the tarp and jumped into the stands to catch a foul ball.  It's an incredible catch with an unreal effort.  They originally ruled it not a catch because he made the catch out of play.

It was reviewed and overturned.  What a freaking play.  This is one of the best catches of the entire year.

Watch Anthony Rizzo avoid a tag using magic or some sort of wizardry.  Rizzo pulled his feet back mid-slide to avoid the initial swipe tag, then got his feet to the base before being tagged on his body.

Who said baseball players weren't athletes?  This is a pretty athletic move.

I know the high hopes for the Cubs and all about the Back To The Future prediction.  But this is probably the best thing that the Cubs will accomplish this season.

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo visited a Cubs fan at Lurie Children's Hospital.  Hell even if the Cubbies somehow do win the World Series this year (they won't) this will still top that.

Can't beat bringing joy to a sick kid.
